Up for sale is my 1979 10th Anniversary Trans Am 4 speed car. It is a true "X" code(10th anniversary) and "Z" code(Pontiac 400 4 speed) car. Only 1817 were built with the High Performance Pontiac 400 motor(220 HP) and 4 speed manual transmission, as opposed to the 403(185HP) automatic only Oldsmobile motor. This is the last year of this combination. It is an all matching numbers original drive train. This is a turn key car. Car runs very well and everything functions as it should, even the A/C. Car is completely stock with the exception of a "RED LED GM cassette in place of the RED LED GM 8 track. The paint is about 2 years old and is a two stage base coat clear coat finished in the correct GM 15 Platinum and GM 16 Dark Charcoal paint. The clear coat was wet sanded up to 3000 grit and then polished. Interior is nice shape with a mixture of original and repo pieces. I have the original Norwood, Ohio plant build sheet as well as the original 2 window stickers. Car was sold new at Ranken Pontiac in Easton Pa. 4 speed trailer queens are going for 35K and up, and while not perfect, you not find a nicer 4 speed TATA in this price range.
