This vehicle has a steady, running engine that sounds good and has had the same owner since 1985. It has current California license plates and registration. This 1973/72 bus is lime green with off-white trim and a high fiberglass top, allowing stand up room inside. Originally it was blue and white. It has a full size, fold-out bed which converts to a bench seat. The kitchen was removed years ago to provide more space in the "lounge" area. The gas fittings for the old stove are still mounted underneath. At one point the bus had air conditioning so it is possible the venting system is still present. It has a stereo and speakers that work and plenty of up-top storage space inside. The bus needs some welding due to rust in areas but overall is in very good shape. The front seats need attention but are usable. The interior could use new paneling and the bus does need work, but it is a beautiful vehicle for the right person. Eleanor the green bus has driven through the valleys of Ireland, expanses of Yosemite, roads of Death Valley, and cruises up and down the coast of California. In her day she handled well on the freeway at 80 miles an hour easily, and used to perform at about 23-24 miles per gallon.
