Vehicle Detail
2006 Honda CR-V LX. Fully Loaded- Automatic, Air, Cruise, Tilt, Power Windows/Mirrors/Locks/Steering/Brakes, AM/FM/CD/Cassette Stereo, ABS, Stability Control, Keyless Entry (1 Key). I'm selling it because we need a pickup truck more than we need an SUV! GOOD THINGS: - Runs good with strong acceleration (for a 4-cylinder, anyway).- Engine is clean. Engine does NOT smoke, leak, or burn oil, to the best of my knowledge.- Transmission shifts smoothly through all gears.- No visible leaks of any kind.- All power options work as they are supposed to.- A/C blows cold, heat blows hot.- Spare tire has little to no visible wear.- Body is in good shape- no rust. Has the minor dings/scratches to be expected for a 10 year-old vehicle.- Michelin Defender XT tires. At last check, front tires have approximately 9/32" tread remaining, rear tires 5/32".- Stereo sounds good (for a factory installation).- Comes complete with all manuals and the famous removable "picnic" table under the cargo area. MAINTENANCE PERFORMED WITHIN THE PAST 12 MONTHS: 7/2015: Serpentine belt replaced.1/2016: Engine oil/filter changed. Transmission fluid flushed/refilled. Tires rotated. 4-wheel alignment performed. All wiper blades replaced.2/2016: Engine air filter replaced. Cabin air filter replaced. Hi-mount brake light replaced. NOT SO-GOOD THINGS: -While the transmission shifts easily and smoothly through all gears, there appears to be a "whining" noise coming from the torque converter. It is most noticeable when the engine is cold or when driving slowly. The noise lessens and/or disappears as the engine warms up or at highway speed. Right now it is just an annoyance, but it may indicate that the transmission might need some work in the future.- There are a number of dime-sized spots in the clear-coat on the driver's side of the hood. I have tried to show them in the photos of the vehicle.- There is some "fogging" on the top side of the headlight lenses. It doesn't interfere with headlight brightness.- Vehicle trim is sun-faded in some places.- Cargo area has some scratches in the plastic liner, possibly from previous owner's dog.- Carpeting and seats have some stains.- Driver's floor mat is missing.- The 2 outboard headrests for the back seat are also missing. The center one is still in place.- There is some body vibration when driving around 75-80mph. Cause is unknown.- Driver's sun visor is too loose at times.- Storage bin door underneath stereo is missing a pin on one side, making the door loose.- Windshield washer fluid container is missing the cap.- The driver's power window switches all work, but Honda has issued a safety recall on them. Your local dealer can replace them for you for free. I have tried to do that myself, but my local dealer never seems to have the necessary part in stock! CONCLUSION: I have tried to describe the vehicle to the best of my ability, but I am not a mechanic, nor do I claim to be perfect. I am trying to be as honest and open with you, the prospective buyer, as I can. I feel that this CR-V would make someone a good 1st or 2nd vehicle, but it, like me, is not perfect. With a bit of effort, this could be the right SUV for you! Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have. "Inspecting" the vehicle after the auction is complete is not an option!
