1978 FJ40 Land Cruiser. This unit is more solid than it looks as much of the body panels have been fabricated and replaced. She does need a lot of TLC though. I am getting rid of all of my cruiser parts and they are included in this deal. Everything Land Cruiser seen in the pictures will go (if wanted).. The soft top is definitely shot as are the vinyl windows. I've seen new tops go for around $500. The winch is a complete PTO winch. It works great but was taken off of one of my other Cruisers. The body panels were not continuous welded and that is why you see some separation. This is an easy fix for a welder/fabricator. The Cruiser hadn't been run since 07 but started right up and ran fine. The drum brakes work great, the E brake works faintly and needs adjustment. All of the gauges work fine as does the headlights and wipers. The forward and rear heaters and blowers work good. The transmission and transfer case work great. These machines are basically indestructibly but they do require attention sometime and this one hasn't seen any for a long long time. this would be a good solid project for someone. Extra parts include 2 transfer cases and transmissions, 2 front and rear axle sets, misc other parts. The odometer shows 2000 miles but it's been around the block once. The head was rebuilt 5000 miles ago.
