When folks see this Bug, they share their stories and adventures about the vw bugs they once owned ! ... This VW bug has that type of appeal... 1971 VW Bug with 90k+ miles. Starts all the time. Push button on floor to start it. Engine is strong, rebuilt with approximately 35000 miles on it. Utilize for the beach and around town. Added roof rack for beach chairs. Brakes need work. In hot weather, vapor lock condition may occur after usage, but will start by putting the gas pedal to floor and cranking it.. Rust has accumulated on the bumpers , front headlight chrome rings and exhaust pipes due to the ocean air. Interior is original and in reasonable shape. Dash shelf was added .. Passenger seat has tear in it. Added three point seat belts to front seats. Installed new battery few months back.
