I have done quite a bit or research and have not seen one in this shape or status yet this car is in NCRS show condition and i will dare to say the nicest one you will find in the planet!!! yellow/black and yellow/beige were the common ones with high production numbers. But this is not a distress sale so don't make ridiculous offers. Here is the full history of the car it was purchase new at Cooper Huddleston Chevrolet in Portales,New Mexico on 3/9/79 by Mr Jeffrey W.Wilson CEO Founder of the Cattle Baron Restaurants Inc founded in Portales, New Mexico in 1976also founded Farleys Food, Fun, and Pub and Tia Juanas Mexican Grill and Cantina Santinos Italian Restaurant in Ruidoso,The Snazzy Pig BBQ,the Pasta Caf. He traded the car in 1988 to Visone Motors with only 38,799 Actual miles as per the official odometer statement, the second owner Keith Edwards purchased the car in March of the same year and had a appraisal done to the car that appraise the car back then at 15,000.00 he owned it till 2002 and the second appraisal shows to have at the time of sale 61,833 actual miles only,appraisal value then was 12,000.00. This car is Matching numbers the heads,block,and all items are the original ones from factory down to the exhaust manifolds that i removed the cross over pipe with the catalyst converted and ran dual . the bottom of this car is like new there is no rust or repairs or any kind ,bird cage is also solid ,the floors are rust free and the fiberglass part of it is like day one,The a/c is all new including a brand new GM compressor not rebuilt with the original sticker removed from the old compressor and set on this A/c is cold and car runs in FL sun at noon with a/c on at 200 .This car drives like new no raddled ,no vibrations,no pulling,just a joy to drive. The engine bay was detail,but it went further than that it was stripped down and the worn out original lacquer paint that had been touch up in a few spots along the years was redone in its correct Yellow code with a 2 staged Sikens base and clear very expensive and showroom quality job,all new weather seals were purchased and install also. the outcome of it all is a breath taking car that will turn heads all day long a gorgeous like showroom new car,a one rare machine that has taken 3 first prices already in local shows and is the talk at all of them, it just an amazing car. I will include with car a front nose cover for long trips to prevent rock chips also a CD with the Pictures of the restoration and all engine parts and numbers before and after to verify authenticity,also there are pictures of the car before paint to proof the body and paint were original and no hits or worn down car i have but never install the hood L82 emblems i like it without them it looks smoother without them. Please look at all the HD pictures of the bottom,inside,engine and body also look at the walk around video,hear the engine,and notice this is not a filter or edited like most do,notice the gaps,the finish,the shine,the stance,the fitment its better than factory,the only item not original to this car is the radio and rear custom made speakers board that can be remove in 5 minutes and will look like day one ,but it looks awesome,sounds great and i like it !!!! the factory power antenna also works flawless,the windows go up and down fast and hard,the motors where lubed and all parts inside also greased up. Welcome and lets get clear I'm not a dealer and there is no other hidden charges besides the final price, the shipping is paid by the buyer, this car is out of my personal collection with this out of the way this auction is for one of the rarest and collectible 1979 corvette made,according to the numbers there were less than 18 made with this color combination of yellow and 0yster and to make it more desirable and collectible it was order with the D-80 spoiler option, 4spd ,glass t-tops. I have done quite a bit or research and have not seen one in this shape or status yet this car is in NCRS show condition and i will dare to say the nicest one you will find in the planet!!! yellow/black and yellow/beige were the common ones with high production numbers. Selling because of down sizing and making room for new chevelle at my age its getting harder to get in and out of vetts, But this is not a distress sale so don't make ridiculous offers.
Here is the full history of the car it was purchase new at Cooper Huddleston Chevrolet in Portales,New Mexico on 3/9/79 by Mr Jeffrey W.Wilson CEO Founder of the Cattle Baron Restaurants Inc founded in Portales, New Mexico in 1976 also founded Farleys Food, Fun, and Pub and Tia Juanas Mexican Grill and Cantina Santinos Italian Restaurant in Ruidoso,The Snazzy Pig BBQ,the Pasta Caf. He traded the car in 1988 to Visone Motors with only 38,799 Actual miles as per the official odometer statement, the second owner Keith Edwards purchased the car in March of the same year and had a appraisal done to the car that appraise the car back then at 15,000.00 he owned it till 2002 and the second appraisal shows to have at the time of sale 61,833 actual miles only,appraisal value then was 12,000.00.
Now here is what has been done to the car since then, it received a whole new interior ,new carpet ,new leather seats,new panels, in 2006, in 2012 it had the transmission rebuilt by ammco because of a bad syncro at the time new clutch,new t/o bering,new pressure plate,new joints, in 2015 it started smoking due to dry valve seals,i then decided to pull the engine out and do a total rebuilt with no short cuts ,it was built with all new parts including pistons,cam,valves,rods,oil pump,balancer,heads were 3angle with new seats and guides new springs that came with cam kit and much more it is all documented with receipts that are included in the file.it was a good shunk of money but well worth it. I had it built to LT1 specs with correct GM performance Cam.
This car is Matching numbers the heads,block,and all items are the original ones from factory down to the exhaust manifolds that i removed the cross over pipe with the catalyst converted and ran dual . the bottom of this car is like new there is no rust or repairs or any kind ,bird cage is also solid ,the floors are rust free and the fiberglass part of it is like day one,The a/c is all new including a brand new GM compressor not rebuilt with the original styker removed from the old compressor and set on this.This car drives like new no raddles ,no vibrations,no pulling,just a joy to drive.
When the engine was out and getting done since it took longer than expected because of the brake in time and tuning ,the engine bay was detail,but it went futher than that it was stripped down and the worn out original laquer paint that had been touch up in a few spots along the years was redone in its correct Yellow code with a 2 staged Sikens base and clear very expensive and costly stuff there just in paint and clear was over 1,300.00 dollars,all new weather seals were purchased and install also. the outcome of it all is a breath taking car that will turn heads all day long a gourgeous like showroom new car,a one rare machine that has taken 3 first prices already in local shows and is the talk at all of them, it just an amazing car.
I will include with car a front nose cover for long trips to prevent rock chips also a CD with the Pictures of the restoration and all engine parts and numbers before and after to verify authentity,also there are pictures of the car before paint to proof the body and paint were original and no hits or worn down car. Please look at all the HD pictures of the bottom,inside,engine and body also look at the walk around video,hear the engine,and notice this is not a filter or edited like most do,notice the gaps,the finish,the shine,the stance,the fitment its better than factory,the only item not origninal to this car is the radio and rear custom made speakers but it looks awesome,sounds great and i like it !!!!!
