.1976, 99% ORIGINAL (to the best of my knowledge) HONDA CT70 TRAIL! This little CT70 TRAIL is in fantastic shape, runs, shifts and goes down the road (or up a trail) as she should! Dependable and good looking all in one package.... yep, a looker AND a rider!!!NO major restoration of any kind done on this little CT70. ONLY MAINTENANCE items replaced or adjusted.Still has original decals, stickers, seat, tools, and so on... and only 1618 miles. NO smoke, NO oil consumption, and NO oil leaks... Runs smooth and quiet (ya can remove the Baffle and adjust the Carb if ya want more sounds), what the heck, it's a HONDA!Below are just a few of the high and low points: Body/Frame- NO RUST OUT! (doesn't happen here in our sunny, drought ridden, South Western States)- Very light "rust" spotting here and there on the chrome areas, none noticed on the painted areas... other than a normal paint chip or scratch here and there, but it is so minor that it's hard to see in person, let alone in the pictures, normal stuf for a 40 year old trail bike, but ya gotta mention it. - The Exhaust is tight, solid with NO rust out, original baffle still in place.- The original Baffle is still in place, but can still be removed for cleaning, or "louder exhaust note" if ya want to. - Hasn't been all cleaned up, this is just the way I keep it.- The Handle bars are lightly rust spotted also... and I had to do a "repair job" on the front of the left bar years ago. (I don't even remember why, but it's still strong and tight)- The seat is in Great condition on top AND underneath. The seat has several wear spots, rivets pulling threw (see pictures) but the seat pan is in FANTASTIC shape! There is a SMALL crack in the pan, on both sides, right where the "Tool Pouch Carrier" entrance area is, don't know why those happened, but they are there (see pictures). NO dents, NO lengthwise cracks and NO weak spots. If ya want the seat pretty, ya could always get it re-covered, but it is VERY functional as is.- The Frame is solid and smooth.... NO rust rot, NONE. (By the way, she looks "RED" in some of the pictures... she's NOT RED, she is the ORIGINAL HONDA ORANGE color )- The Front Fender has a small rub on the left forward corner (see pictures)- The Tires are just "OK"... some cracking and well worn. Still hold air, and I still ride it around with no tire issues (see pictures)- The headlight bucket and speedometer bucket, glass and face are all in excellent shape, NO dents or cracks. Honda used steel headlight buckets on these later years so no cracking occurs.- Chain guard has a couple small cracks near the top, rear bolt. No missing part, and still tight and functional with no issues (see picture). - Original Air filter, WITH ORIGINAL DECAL still on air filter case!- Under the seat... the frame, battery, battery area, battery cover, TOOLS and tool holder "clip" are there and in Excellent condition. (see picture of seat in up position)- The Gas Tank is clean and rust free! (see picture) Has NOT been cleaned or coated inside.- Helmet lock works as it should with ignition key (one key fits all). - Comes with Clear California TITLE in my name NOTICE.....READ THIS!- The rear brake needs replacing (front still stops her great!). NEW Rear Brake shoes ARE INCLUDED- Left fork "Gator" (rubber fork slide cover) is cracked and needs replacing (ya don't see it in the pictures, but trust me, it is cracked). A set of (2) NEW correct (10 rib) gators ARE INCLUDED- NO passenger (rear) foot pegs are on this CT70. (I never wanted the Grand kids to ride 2 up). A set of NEW rear foot pegs IS INCLUDED- No turn lights on this CT70 - Only lights that work is the brake light and "neutral" light. (Could be a fuse, I don't know) Told ya, I just don't have the time ta keep up with maintaining all these bikes anymore... got the parts, but always somethin' else ta do. CLEAR CALIFORNIA TITLE in hand, in my name. Current CALIFORNIA registration good until OCTOBER, 2016. NO gap fees here! NONE! ALL UP to DATE! NO MAJOR Replaced, Painted, or Buffed Parts.... NOT RESTORED- Normal maintenance over the years only... or a "fix" here and there. I'm sure I have forgotten something, but check the pictures as they are the best at describing this CT70 Trail... and please ask questions. PLEASE look at the pictures closely, I have taken the time to take pictures of the "bad stuff", so ya know exactly what you are buying. Please Read:I purchased this CT70 TRAIL quite a while back so the Grand kids, kids, wife, and I could ride somethin' around when we went camping. The Grand kids have moved out of state now so this CT70 only gets a short "putt" down the street now and then.I'm trying to "thin the herd" anyway, so now that the Grand kids have moved, she's for sale. Ya know this CT70 runs good... who wants their Grand kids, kids or wife "ragging" on them on a "PUTT" in the back hills... NONE of us, RIGHT! At least NOT ME !!!!!!!This CT70 has NOT been "restored"! It HAS BEEN MAINTAINED!She still looks and runs great, so why mess with it?The motor runs great! The valves adjusted, oil changed, and a tune-up were done a year or so ago.You take care of (MAINTAIN) them, and they take care of you!!!! NOTHIN' LIKE A HONDA.... NOTHIN'!I rode it around a couple days ago and she's purrin' like a kitten... sweet! Why am I sellin' it? Well, I've got a shed and garage full of older bikes and it's a real chore tryin' ta keep up with "takin' care of them" (look at this poor little guy) as they should be, so I'm thinnin' the herd. I only ride a couple of them regularly now, and my Grand kids and Kids have moved away, so it's time for someone else ta enjoy this little CT70 TRAIL... and take care of it. So..... now ya know. Did I forget anything? I'm sure I did, heck, I'm pushin' 70 now.... I'm lucky I remember where the coffee pot is half the time. If ya have any questions... PLEASE ask! I Realize that sometimes ya can't get a transport to pickup something in a week or two... just keep me informed, this little bike doesn't take up much room, so if ya need more time, it's not a problem, although payment "in full" is required within 7 days of auction end as listed... I can not "crate" this HONDA CT70. I do not have the tools, or "know how", to crate it for a safe and problem free trip. Sorry 'bout that. ALL transport pickup and/or buyer pickup, is after payment in full has cleared my bank... naturally. Once payment has cleared my bank, I will USPS PRIORITY MAIL, with tracking number, the SIGNED TITLE, and all the NEW parts pictured.
