Vehicle Detail
All Around Details: Up for auction is a super cool topside restored 1962 Chevy C10 Stepside Pickup with a bit of a Harley theme. Truck has strong CMJ Chevy 350 engine with 4 barrel, aluminum intake, and headers. Transmission is a Turbo 350 matted to a 10 bolt chevy rear end. Truck has been converted from 6 lug to 5 lug and has Power Disc brakes. This C10 has been lowered with drop coils in the front and a leaf spring kit in the rear. Interior has been redone and includes recent carpet, new upholstered bench seat, new steering wheel, and many other new parts. Paint is base coat clear coat Harley Orange and has custom pinstripping. Steel bed has been urethane lined and then tinted to match the truck. Wheels are new and are 20x10"s at rear and 18x8.5" on front. Truck has new front and rear glass with new seals. Grille, front bumper, emblems, mirrors, door handles, etc are all new. Truck runs exceptional and is very unique. Exterior Details: Truck has very nice base coat clear coat Harley Orange paint from Sherwin Williams Custom pallet. Front windshield and rear glass have been replaced along with new rubber seals. Custom pinstripping done tastefully at tailgate, rear fenders, hood, and grille. All new chrome front bumper, painted grille, emblems, side mirrors, outside door handles, tailgate chains, and correct stainless wiper blades. It appears that the inside rockers have been replaced at some point and the outside rockers were repaired prior to paint. Drip rails and all visor areas are good with no rust. Steel bed has spray in urethane bed liner that we tinted to match the truck. New Ridler 20x10 rear wheels and 18x8.5 front wheels set the stage for a cool look. Front springs are drop coils and rear has been lowered with a leaf spring kit. New custom dual exhaust exits out through the customized rear bumper. Truck drives and looks great. Interior Details: Many parts of the interior have been replaced or restored. Dash, doors, and cab roof are painted to match the exterior of the truck and have contrasting black door panels, glove box, and gauge carrier. Carpet was replaced 4 years ago and bench seat was reupholstered at the same time. Door pulls, window cranks, vent knobs, sill plates, weatherstripping, window channels, vent window seals, visor, and steering wheel are all new. Truck has floor shifter and replaced smoothed steering column. CD radio is Phase Linear and has RCA speakers mounted at the kick panels. Truck has retractable seat belts and Harley Davidson floor mats to continue the theme. Windows roll up and down with ease and window frames have also been repainted black. Engine & Mechanical Details: Engine is a small block CMJ 350 which is the factory 4 barrel police interceptor motor from the mid 70's.. Engine has great oil pressure and runs strong. Holley high rise aluminum intake manifold with a new Edelbrock carburetor sits atop the motor. Also new is an HEI Assault distributor. Brand new custom 2.25" exhaust from the headers all the way out the back with Flowmaster 55's for a great sound. Transmission is a Turbo 350 and it shifts just as it should with no issues. Rear end is an open 10 bolt with a highway gear. (not sure ratio) Headlights, turn signals, parking lights, wipers, horn, dash lighting, CD Stereo, high beams, Speedometer, and aftermarket gauges are all in working order. Just the fuel gauge is not working and not sure why as we replaced the sending unit hoping to solve but apparently not the issue. Power disc brakes work very well and were a great addition and upgrade to the old drum brakes. Truck runs cool with no over heating issues even in traffic. Engine is bone dry with no oil, gas, or water leaks. Truck is very reliable and can be driven regulary. In Summary: This is a great looking and mechanically sound topside restored 62 Chevy C10. This is not a show truck but is a great driver quality restored truck that can be taken to local car shows and cruise in weekends and the owner can be proud. It is very reliable and could be driven everyday should the new owner choose to do so. It is very unique and you just don't see many early 60's C10 shortbeds running around or showing up at cruise in nights these days. If you are looking for something different that you can have fun with, this may be your truck. If I have not answered everything here, you are welcome to call me for further questions.
