For sale is a 1978 Honda CB750A with 300 actual, original miles. NOT a misprint, three hundred miles! This is the "Hondamatic" with the automatic transmission, only made for 3 years. I purchased this bike from the 2nd owner who bought it, had new Avon tires installed and never went any further. Since I have owned it I took it to Cycle Metrics, one of the best mechanics for vintage bikes I could find, and had it gone over from front to back, installed good quality carb kits and tuned, a new battery, fresh fluids and filters and other minor misc. which is all that was needed. The bike runs great like it should and rides/operates properly as well according to the mechanic who put an extra mile on it. I have not ridden it for obvious reasons. Condition of the bike is very nice...not new...not restored, but very, very nice for a 38 year old motorcycle. I have NOT detailed, cleaned or prettied up the bike. I have not even washed it since I have owned it. There is some VERY minor surface rust in a couple places and a few real minor scuffs and scratches here and there which should be expected with a 38 year old bike, that I have tried to show in the pics. I would honestly put the bike at a condition of 9 on a 10 scale. I want to be clear...other than the new tires, battery, carb kits and fluids/filters, I believe this bike to be as original as it came from the Factory 38 years ago. I do have the coveted kick start lever and the vinyl tool bag with 4 wrenches of the tool kit. If you want restored showroom condition please go find it and bid elsewhere.
