Car is in great condition, and is the highest end of all the Corvair models - convertible with a turbo engine, and all of the unique upgrades that were available for the Monza Spyder, including the wheels with spinners and bumper guards. A "survivor car" in that it's never been revamped (though, to be clear, I do not know if it's ever been repainted - I don't see any signs of it, and the few spots where paint has been chipped [included in the pictures], there doesn't seem to have any paint under it, but I don't know 100%), but lots of care has been taken in tune-ups, maintaining the original engine, etc. Needed parts have been purchased through Clark's Corvair to preserve originality. Only exception to the original nature of the car were lap belts that were installed for safety, but taken from a period Chevy. Could be removed, if desired. I don't want to be a salesman here, though. It's important to note that the car does has have some some small paint defects that you have to get close to see, and a cut on the drivers side bucket seat. These are included in the pictures. It's still definitely in condition to wow 'em at car shows, but if you wanted it perfect, you'd probably want to get it repainted. I bought this from my father-in-law, who is a big Corvair enthusiast and bought this after months of searching for the highest quality Corvair he could find. Not too many Monza Spyder Convertibles are out there, so it took him some time to find it. Came from Texas, and it's been with my father-in-law or myself in New Hampshire for the past 10 years, always kept in the garage kept and driven in only nice weather. Only thing I get is oohs and aahs - my wife always jokes that going out in the Corvair is like an "insta-parade" because of how many people make comments about it, honk as they pass, and celebrate it every time you get out of the car. It's pretty cool, and one of the things I'll miss most about it! Only reason I'm selling it is because I have 5 kids and realizing I'll need to wait on having some great toys for a few more years. : )
