Please read the description fully and ensure that you can meet the obligations of this auction before bidding. As is stated above, this is an auction for a 2004 Ford Mustang Convertible. This is a great car for spring and summer, for cruising in the warm sun with the top down! The color is perfect for a Mustang, and with the top down, this thing looks great going down the road! The 3.8L V6 engine runs great with no smoke, no blow-by, and no overheating. Oil pressure is great too. The automatic transmission shifts through all of its gears normally. The suspension is OK. It’s a little soft for my liking and could perhaps use some new shocks, but some people prefer the softer ride. Brakes are good. The exhaust is slightly louder than expected, so there may be a leak in the pipe somewhere. The battery fastener is missing and has been replaced with a bungy cord. Car drives wonderfully around town, but I have noticed that above 60mph there is a mild vibration, so maybe an alignment is in order? The exterior of this Mustang is in decent shape for the age. The paint looks really good from 8 feet away, but there is some wear and tear typical for the age that is noticeable up close – small scratches and scuffs. The red paint almost looks like a Candy Apple color – it appears dark in the shade but is much brighter and richer in the sunlight. The stripes add a nice touch, and the car gets a lot of looks going down the road. There is some cracking visible on the rear bumper, a small scuff on the right rear, and a dent just behind the driver’s door (pictured). The top is in average shape. The factory alloy wheels and professionally tinted windows give this Mustang a very sleek appearance. The tires all have good tread, though the rear tires have some weather cracks. One taillight lens is broken. The glass is all good and the lights and wipers work fine, but there is a very small star on the windshield. The cream interior of the car is about average for the age and mileage, but would probably do really well with a proper detailing. The leather seats are supportive and comfy, but have some cracks in the leather, and there is a small tear on the passenger’s side. A child has written his name on the back of the passenger’s seat in ballpoint. The door panels have a few scuffs, and the carpets have some staining, but are covered with a good set of mats. This car has power windows, mirrors, seats, top, locks, and cruise control. There is remote locking and a factory alarm. The heat works great, but the blower only runs on the high setting. There is A/C but the weather has not been warm enough for me to be able to test it properly. The factory radio works, but the volume knob is a bit funny, and sometimes turns the volume up even if you are trying to turn it down. There are twin airbags for safety. The dash is in good shape, all of the gauges work. The “service engine soon” light is on and occasionally “ABS” light comes on. This Mustang will make a great summer cruiser for someone. It looks good, drives well, and is affordable. Spring and summer are just around the corner, so now is the time to pick up one of these! This car is not perfect. It is 12 years old and has some wear and tear, but is a good car overall. I have listed all of the faults that I have found, but there could be others. Please read the description thoroughly, examine all of the pictures and then come see / drive the car in person before you decide to bid. I am selling this car on behalf of my father because he does not use the internet. This car is owned by his small, used car dealership. Since this car is owned by a dealership, the buyer has the option of getting a 2-month temp tag, so that he or see can legally drive the car home.
