Vehicle Detail
Hi, I bought this Bike new back in 1990, new old stock from St John's Honda in Portland Oregon.I'm not riding much any more and now I've decided to hang it up. The bike starts and run's great, always have made sure that I started and ran the bike every so often with out fail. A while back I did some work on it replacing the seat, windshield, and speakers. The tires are about 80%. The battery is newer and holds a charge just fine. The Radio & CB work and change channels just fine after cleaning with electrical switch solvent. The cruse control works. The back shock compressor works. All the lights work & no shorts. The bike rides great and has lots of power. The front brakes are newer and grab great but the back brakes aren't working (again). This seems to happen when the bike sits and I've had to have Honda dealer get them working in the past more than once. Sadly both my 2 Honda dealers went out of business and I don't have a shop close anymore.I took the side bag off and removed the caliper to install a brake kit but it now needs new pistons. The master pumps fluid when I bled the line but I think it needs to be rebuilt (I have the kit). So still no rear brake and it will need to be addressed. I have taken off some parts to get at the brakes but can reassemble them no problem before pickup or shipping. I have pictures of the parts off so you can see under the covers. Its been parked under a porch roof outside which keeps most of the weather off of it. Over the years the right hand side's paint has succumbed to extreme sunlight fading while the left side look almost new. The right brake covers paint has pealed but I believe chrome replacements are available. The front fender has a scratch that was painted with color match paint. The after-market luggage rake has cracked the trunk lid. Never wrecked but its fallen over more than a a couple of times for various reasons so the metal back trim ring is dented. It really needs a paint job. In the past I purchased a few extras, side marker lights, foot pegs, luggage rake, Honda luggage, full Honda cover, and a after market repair manual. This bike is priced to sell as is, get the rear brakes fixed and you have a great road bike for long touring trips. Because of the low miles it may make a good candidate for a trike kit. No Returns.... And The US buyer is responsible for vehicle pickup or shipping. No international sells or shipping pickups
