For auction is a 1973 Honda CB750. This is a running project and needs some minor work. Odometer shows 19,000 miles and is thought to be correct based on its history with two previous owners. I am putting a few miles on it as it had been sitting. Engine starts easily and runs good but the number two carburetor is not coming on-line at low speeds. Runs well up at speed. Cylinders have very good, crisp compression. Five speed transmission shifts well. Clutch pulls good. Engine does not smoke. All electrics work except for the indicator cluster lights. Tank, headlight shell and side covers have been in primer paint for many years. Factory emblems are in good shape and one has a couple of broken mounting pins. Tank interior is very clean. Seat pan is solid. Frame is clean. The bike was garaged all it's life. Seat has a small tear at the seam. Chrome looks decent. Instruments are very nice looking and are working. Factory exhaust system is solid. No rot as is typical for these mufflers. Baffles are intact. Recent rear tire. Old style front tire is ok. Brakes work well. Tachometer cable seal (at engine) leaking. Bike and engine need a good overall cleaning. This is a running, drivable bike as is and feels good out on the road. Handles well and is comfortable. It may need the carburetors rebuilt or just more running than it's been getting. It's a good candidate for a restoration or tune, paint and enjoy as is. A nice straight, solid example.
