This truck was a complete frame off build completed in the late 80's as a parade vehicle for one of the top 2 beverage companies in Nebraska. It was built to look as an old delivery truck. This truck has a 1974 ford pinto motor and auto trans, machined to the original drive train. Hydraulic brakes were installed using parts from a 3/4 ton 72 ford truck. Again the original wheels were adapted to the later model brakes. The idea was to keep the exterior as original as possible. It was used in parades for several years then stored for several more. I purchased the truck from the restoration person several years after he bought it from the beverage company. The vehicle was used for a few years as a parade vehicle for one of the local Red Hat chapters, That’s why it is purple, and the box was made into benches for parade passengers with red carpet. A set of steps were manufactured for easy access to the benches. This is the truck to have for any special interest group that wants to parade, advertising, or any other like. I had intended to use this for an advertising gimik, and ran it in many local parades, but have since decided to go with other options. Tuck has had Turn signals and modern healights behind original lenses for night time driving Truck is alot of fun and has a new carburator on it, I typically drive it around town at 25 - 30 MPH but it will run about 40-45 MPH. needs a little TLC as I have not done much with it the last yearbeches and carpet can be easily removedAny question feel free to call 732-239-9960
