Vehicle Detail
Many years and a lot of money wen't into building this car. The build was done by Russ Meeks (google him) It has a small block V8 ( believe Chevy) coil over suspension, everything under the hood is polished aluminum, stainless steel ect. The rear quarter panels were modified so a 10 inch wide wheel would fit. It won 1st place at the Portland roadster show the only time it was entered. Unfortunately when the owner passed away the executor of estate left it outside in a storage container for 10 years before being released to his daughter. The brakes are seized, the paint is cracked and bubbling in a few spots, There is surface rust on the headliner but the car seems pretty solid as it's been in Oregon for many many years. We cleaned the old gas out and tried to start it. It did turn over, with some plugs and points it might fire but is being sold not running, as is. Miles are unknown. Any questions 5033170082 Here's a walk around video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JUQnX4CyMdA On Apr-25-16 at 10:42:38 PDT, seller added the following information: Hello, I was with another buyer last night to view the car. I took a wire wheel to the shock tower to expose the chassis number, it doesn't match the tittle. The title is clean, and listed as a 1963. The car was found in a field and brought back to life, over 85k in parts. The car has been in our family for around 30 years, Please be advised THE CHASSIS NUMBER AND VIN ON TITTLE DO NOT MATCH. . The number on the chassis is a little hard to read but appears to be 1R26247. We are selling it as parts with a title. Thanks for your interest.
On Apr-26-16 at 11:52:18 PDT, seller added the following information: Hello, I have 1 last update to make before the close of auction tomorrow. I was able to get in touch with the guy that did the last build and restoration. He said when the car came to him is was wrecked pretty badly and they sourced parts from all over to make a car out of it again. This leads me to believe the front chassis (sub frame) was replaced, that's why the chassis number doesn't match the title. The bonnet appears to be a welded louver bonnet and only came on very early e-type cars. These are very rare and would be great if someone wanted an era correct bonnet for an early e-type. It appears the seams where the sides meet the top were filled with bondo. The bonnet number is hard to make out but looks like 1067 or 1267. We didn't find any other numbers on the car. There is no guarantees on any info and it's sold as is where is. Buyer is responsible for pickup from it's current location in Sandy,OR. Any deposits and payments are non refundable, please do not bid if you don't intend on completing the purchase. If you have any further questions please message me and I will reply as quick as possible. I can also be reached by phone at the number listed above. Thank you.
