Vehicle Detail
2005 Chevy Aveo You are looking at a very well maintained single-family owned vehicle. My family has owned it since new. My father is the one who racked up the majority of the miles. He worked 45 miles from home so it would go 90 miles a day without any side trips at all. He routinely put 25k on the car a year. It lived most of its life in Northeastern Ohio, but did a year in the deserts of Southern New Mexico. The car comes with the original window sticker, owners manual, and various informational bits including a CD. I've made a video of the car starting and a walk around so you can see for yourself what it looks like in action (you may need to copy/paste the link into a browser): https://youtu.be/k2A7vykPqCc It was always washed, waxed, and vacuumed which is apparent in the condition it's in 11 years later, most of which in the snowy Midwest. When he retired a couple of years ago I purchased it from him and drove it every day as a work car for approximately 2-3 years. Since taking it on I've kept it vacuumed and washed but rarely waxed it as some of the clear-coat has begun to flake off (see the photos). It's only developed a small amount of rust as you'll see in the pics as well. The interior is near spotless, there is a small amount of "stick-em" on the dash between the vents where my father had his GPS mounted. Other than that it barely looks as if it was used. The seats always had covers, you'll see a new one balled up in the hatch. The seats have no staining, tears, and barely any wear at all. Mechanically the vehicle drives well. The transmission shifts as it should, it tracks well on the highway, and had new rear tires installed prior to winter. The fronts aren't terrible either but aren't as new. The engine fires up on the first go and purrs like new (see video), no hesitation. The heater blows hot and the rear defogger works well. The car has A/C but it hasn't been charged since I got it so I couldn't tell you if it would hold a charge. The mechanical faults that I'm aware of are as follows: the front suspension groans and clunks a bit but there is nothing dangerous there just a bit annoying. When very cold, i'd say sub-30 degrees the brakes require more force to stop. It's almost as if the brake booster sticks a bit. This lasts typically less than 3 minutes before normal brake pressure is required, or if you warm the car before setting off (the car has a working remote start unit) it doesn't do it at all. The only reason we are selling is because I've purchased a new work car. I was planning on driving it until the wheels fell off but as it turns out I cracked before it did. The MP3/CD/Stereo works fine and it has gotten me between 26-30 MPG in mixed city driving. It's cheap to drive, maintain, and insure. It would be a great work car, extra car, or even a 1st vehicle. Kelley Blue Book values the car with these options with the correct mileage, sold to a private party, and in "Fair" condition at $1362.00. My starting bid with NO RESERVE is less than half this. This car does have over 200k miles on it so there is NO-WARRANTY implied or provided. The statements above are truthful to my knowledge and I'll be happy to allow test drives and even mechanical inspections. It passed the Missouri Safety Inspection in 2016 and has current tags. Please feel free to contact me via eBay to arrange a viewing if you are interested, if you have questions, would like to schedule a test-drive, or would like additional photos, I'd be happy to provide them. Thank you for viewing my listing and GOOD LUCK!!! On Apr-22-16 at 08:21:30 PDT, seller added the following information: I forgot to mention that this is a NON-SMOKING vehicle! That's pretty important to me so I figured I'd add that information as well.
