Vintage Motorcars is proud to present this extremely original, low mileage 1990 Chevrolet C1500 454SS Pickup.
The 1990 Chevrolet 454 SS is a high performance full size pickup that mated the C1500 standard cab, two wheel drive with an absolutely killer 454, 7.4 liter, eight cylinder engine. Match that to a 3 speed automatic transmission and a 3.73 rear axle ratio and you will find yourself rocketing down the road. This 454 beast produced a maximum of 230hp and 385 foot pounds of torque which is extremely capable placed into this relatively small, lightweight truck. All this power was pushed out to Goodyear tires on Special 454 SS rims. The interior comes equipped with a special plush Garnet Red cloth interior and high-back reclining sport bucket seats with a center console.
Other items include front airdam with lights, 454 SS graphic decals on both rear quarter panels, black paint with black grille, black bumpers, and black mirrors. Also standard for the 454 SS were 32 millimeter Bilstein gas-filled shock absorbers, a 32 millimeter front stabilizer bar, 12.7 to 1 fast-ratio steering gear assembly, Halogen headlamps, and great looking chrome wheels with black lug nut caps.
This particular truck is showing just 26,425 on the odometer, and also comes with a truckload of original paperwork. This awesome ONE OWNER truck recently came out of Carrolton, Georgia, so you know it has never seen the nasty salt that we get here in the North! This truck is exceptionally clean and completely rust-free… just as you would expect from a collector with only 26,425 miles! This one owner truck also comes with a completely clean Carfax showing that is has never been involved in an accident.
The exterior is in excellent shape. There are only very minor marks on the lower part of the front bumper, and a couple very small chips on the rear bumper by the hitch area. The black paint is very clean and free of the typical swirls you see when owners don’t know how to properly care for their vehicles!
The interior is just as nice. The Garnet Red cloth upholstery is in excellent shape with only one extremely small spot on the driver’s seat where the seam is slightly split. Otherwise; the seats don’t show much wear, and are not all matted down. This is also a completely non-smoking truck. The dash, door panels, carpet, console and gauges are all in like-new condition with no visible wear to be found anywhere. All the glass is original and completely free of cracks, scratches or stone chips.
The motor and transmission are just as strong as they were in 1990. This truck packs a punch! The whopping 454 starts right up and idles with a low growl. You won’t find any smoke puffing out of the twin tailpipes that turn out right behind the passenger rear tire. The transmission shifts perfectly. There are absolutely no issues with this truck AT ALL!
