1962 Honda CB77 Super Hawk. Completely restoration. California Black Plate bike 305 cc CB 77. Tons of work went into this bike. I have only taken it out half a dozen times since restoring in 2014 and that is not enough to justify keeping it for me. 15,000 Miles believed to be original. Very few CB77s were sold in the US prior to 1964. The VJMC reports that 479 were sold in 1963 and even fewer were sold in 1961 and 1962. The bike has had the following done to it: Restored with fresh paint and powder coat Fresh chrome on the tank panels NOS head pipes New German made Heidenau tires front and rear New Cables New rubber bits Seat has been recovered Many more NOS parts Every nut and bolt has been replated New bronze Swing arm bushings (from Ohio Cycle) Rebuilt carbs Rebuilt oil pump Seat Cover Tank Badges New Air Filters New Air Filter Tubes Cylinder head rebuilt by well known restoration expert Cylinders re-sleeved to stock bore by engine dynamics in Petaluma Fresh New Battery And much more The bike retains so many fantastic 1962 parts including the short tail lamp (one year only), and has some of the nicest stainless steel mufflers I have seen. I have put in a ton of hours trying to keep this bike as year correct as possible. Front end is the original 61/62 front end. Electric start and kick start both work. Shocks are the steel cover shocks, which are original to the bike. I have even sourced the correct early diamond pattern grips for 61, 62, and 63. 95% of the parts I used were off of the original bike. Frame and engine numbers are within range to be matching and are the same ones from the original title (in the Honda world this is numbers matching). Clean and clear title in my name, registration just renewed and good to 9/2016. I do not have the means to ship or deliver the bike, but I can help work with you and your shipper of choice if needed.
