Vehicle Detail

1969, HONDA 125-A SCRAMBLER, READY TO GO! This CL125-A has NOT BEEN restored... only MAINTAINED! This little 125-A is in fantastic shape, runs, stops, shifts and goes down the road (or up a trail) as she should! Dependable and good looking all in one package.... yep, a looker AND a rider!!! NO smoke, NO oil consumption, and NO oil leaks... Runs smooth and quiet (ya can remove the Baffle and adjust the Carb if ya want more sounds), what the heck, it's a HONDA!Below are just a few of the high and low points: Body/Frame- NO RUST OUT! (doesn't happen here in our sunny, drought ridden, South Western States)- Very light "rust" spotting here and there on the chrome areas, none noticed on the painted areas... it is so minor that it's hard to see in the pictures, but ya gotta mention it.(the worst rust spotting is on rear wheel in one area of side of rim, see pictures 18 and 19. I have wanted ta re-chrome some parts, but the misses always said, "I like it the way it is"... so no parts on this bike have been re-chromed... all factory chrome) - The Exhaust is tight, solid with NO rust out, there is a spot at the beginning of the after muffler pipe, and a area on the rear, inside side area of the muffler that I welded and smoothed out years ago. Both of those repairs remain tight and solid. (see last 3 pictures).- The original Baffle is still in place, but can still be removed if ya want to. - Hasn't been all cleaned up, this is just the way I keep it.- The Handle bars are rust spotted also... and not the correct CL bars with cross bar. INCLUDED is a brand new set of bars with correct wiring holes and cross bar. (My wife rides this bike and never wanted me to change the bars... she likes the CB bars better, Who am I to argue?)- The seat is in Excellent condition on top AND underneath. There is a small rough / hole spot at the very front on the left side near the gas tank. (see picture)- The Frame is solid and smooth.... NO rust rot, NONE. (see pictures)- The headlight bucket has a small crack on the right side, at attachment point of the headlight bucket running forward, but it's been there for a long, long time, so I never replaced it. If it "bugs ya" these plastic buckets are available right here on E bay at very reasonable prices. (see picture)- Both side covers are tight with NO cracking- The left side cover also contains the "Battery Tender attachment point (6 volt)" and TOOL Kit. (see picture of removed cover)- Comes with Clear California TITLE, ORIGINAL Owners Manual, 2 Parts Books, Complete Tool Kit, and 4 Keys, 1 ORIGINAL and 3 copies. (yep, I AM paranoid about loosing keys... ALL my bikes have 4 keys!).- Lights and horn are ALL working, (the "turn signals" seem a little lazy.... slow).- CLEAR CALIFORNIA TITLE in hand, in my name. Current CALIFORNIA registration good until JANUARY, 2017. NO gap fees here! NONE! ALL UP to DATE! MAJOR Replaced, Painted, or Buffed Parts (within the past couple years)- Frame and "red" parts were painted several years ago- Tank and fenders painted about a year ago- ALL FENDER stays are SOLID and in ORIGINAL condition... NO welding, NO straightening, NO repairs to fenders or fender stays.- Valves adjusted, Tune-up, and Oil Change- Tires replaced... a year ago (maybe less, maybe more)- I'm sure I have forgotten something, but check the pictures as they are the best at describing this CL125-A... and please ask questions. PLEASE look at the pictures closely, I have taken the time to take pictures of the "bad stuff", LAST 7 PICTURES, so ya know exactly what you are buying. What ya see, is what ya get.ANY questions, PLEASE ASK NOW, NOT after the auction ends. Please Read:I purchased this CL125-A quite a while back so the wife could actually RIDE rather than be a passenger, she (my wife) is only 5 feet tall, and she can reach the ground effortlessly!.... FLAT FOOTED! She doesn't want to RIDE as a "driver" anymore so this sweet CL125-A is up for sale.... I'm trying to "thin the herd" anyway, so now she's for sale, not my wife, the CL125-A. Ya know this CL125-A runs good... who wants their wife "ragging" on them on a "PUTT" on the back roads... NONE of us, RIGHT! At least NOT ME !!!!!!!This CL125-A has NOT been "restored"! It HAS BEEN MAINTAINED!Several years ago the red frame was lookin' a little "grungy" so I stripped it down and had the frame re-painted. The fenders and tank got a paint job about a year ago. The motor runs great! The valves adjusted, and a tune-up were done in late fall last year (Late 2015) so no work to do there. Oil changed last month (March, 2016) so she's READY TA RIDE and have some real fun! You take care of (MAINTAIN) them, and they take care of you!!!! NOTHIN' LIKE A HONDA.... NOTHIN'!I rode it to the post office this morning and had a blast. You will find out that a 20 minute trip to the post office, store, or gas station WILL turn into a 1 HOUR trip.... because someone ALWAYS wants ta talk to ya about it, and the bike they used ta have... it takes longer, but it IS FUN. Why am I sellin' it? Well, I've got a shed and garage full of older bikes and it's a real chore tryin' ta keep up with "takin' care of them" as they should be, so I'm thinnin' the herd. I only ride a couple of them regularly now, and my wife doesn't want to "drive" anymore, so it's time for someone else ta enjoy this little CL125-A... and take care of it. So..... now ya know. Did I forget anything? I'm sure I did, heck, I'm pushin' 70 now.... I'm lucky I remember where the coffee pot is half the time. If ya have any questions... PLEASE ask! If I know the answer, I'll tell ya, and if I don't, I'll tell ya I don't know.... NO Bologna! I Realize that sometimes ya can't get a transport to pickup something in a week or two... just keep me informed, this little bike doesn't take up much room, so if ya need more time, it's not a problem, although payment "in full" is required within 7 days of auction end as listed... COMMUNICATION is the key to a successful transaction... just let me know if transportation issues arise. I WILL WORK WITH YOU, again... communication, communication. Arrangements and cost (see NOTICE below) of transportation is the buyers responsibility. I can help with the loading of your CL125-A Scrambler. If ya want to come by and pick it up yourself, no problem. I can not "crate" this HONDA CL125-A. I do not have the tools, or "know how", to crate it for a safe and problem free trip. Sorry 'bout that. ALL transport pickup and/or buyer pickup, is after payment in full has cleared my bank... naturally. Once payment has cleared my bank, I will USPS PRIORITY MAIL, with tracking number, the SIGNED TITLE, Owners manual, Parts books and 3 keys (transporters usually want one (1) key with the vehicle). New set of handle bars will ship UPS with insurance and tracking. Transportation of this CL125-A motorcycle is the buyers responsibility. Again, If ya have ANY questions about this sweet little CL125-A, PLEASE ASK. It's better to ask questions FIRST and not have any surprises later. This 1969 Honda CL125-A is "for sale" locally also, so I reserve the right to end this auction at any time. Feel free to check my feedback, you won't be disappointed!
