Vehicle Detail
Engine runs great, trans seems to shift well. Brakes work fine. No problem driving this up on a trailer. It runs & drives, but this Bee needs restoration. The engine doesn't seem to have been rebuilt. Has the original points distributor. Matching number body, engine, original trans. Trans #PK2892093. Original engine, 383HP, 335 hp., HD automatic trans, 8 3/4" rear axle with 3.23 gears. Has a 4bbl Holley carb on it. Manual drum brakes, power steering, w/o a/c and manual windows. The quarters were replaced a long time ago, and not done properly. You can see the seam line at the top. So they will need to be finished. They appear in good shape and not need replacing. There is a couple small rust holes in the rear wheel wells as expected for these B bodies. Looking underneath, the left rear frame rail has been replaced, and the right rear rail is soft, and the spring perch is mostly shot. The left torque box is ok, the right is rotted at the outer portion (pic). The doors are good, just one rust spot smaller than a dime at the bottom rear of the right door. Fenders look good. The Bee is originally a T5 copper metallic, with T7 dark bronze metallic inside on the doors, dash, upper moldings, etc, with tan seats & tan carpet, and a black vinyl roof with a black Super Bee stripe. This is a very nice colour combination that you don't see. Previous owners made the car blue, along with blacking out the tan interior. Bucket seat car with centre fold down armrest. The last picture is what the original colour of the car was, with black top & stripe when it came off the line, without the hood & side scoops I have all the parts for it. Door handles, marker lights, seat belts, armrests, door panes, quarter trim panels, moldings, kick panels, upper garnish trim, etc. There's no fuel tank on it. Rotted. Have gas can in trunk to start. On the inside, it looks like just the driver's floor area has a rust hole. The seats are tattered, I'm sure you'd recover them. There's no carpet. The car will need a full restoration, unless you plan on having it as a ratrod type cruiser. Car runs and drives. There are only short pipes on the manifolds, so it is loud... Also, there is a piece of the left rocker cut out (see pic), and there's a used solid rocker piece included for replacement. (see pic with parts on ground, it's the piece in the centre). This vehicle is for sale locally, and I reserve the right to end this auction early if need be. Thank you.
