This is my 1997 Dodge Neon SOHC 2.0 4 cylinder. I am only the third owner and this car is in great clean condition. Been garage kept for 80% of it's life. It's had regular maintenance and I have always kept it in nice clean condition inside and out. Interior is practically pristine. It had a complete engine rebuild just a few years ago. After about 10-15 minutes of driving it looses power, seems to drop into 1st gear and stay there. It runs normal again after restarting the engine. Current theory is Transmission fluid pump is going out. Engine runs great. Power Steering could use some work. Battery is also Dying. Paint has peeled more than shown in photos through the winter. It has a bunch of new parts that have less than 50 miles on them; New fuel pump, fuel filter, throttle position sensor, idle air sensor, both O2 sensors, spark plugs, spark plug cables, plus some extras. Fairly new tires, about 2 years old from Les Swab. It also has aftermarket front and rear upper sway bars, greatly improves the cornering. Also aftermarket brake pads, drums, and drilled and slotted rotors, makes for excellent braking. The paint is starting to flake off bad, it's normal for these first generation Neons. I also have several spare parts and 2 repair manuals that I will throw in. This is an awesome commuter car or a first time car. It gets 25-30 MPH on average, it's been my commuter car for years. Only 148k miles, engine rebuild was around 120k. Not smoged, but always passes smog with flying colors. Pink Slip in hand and registered to me. Registration is due soon. This would be a great easy fixer or make some easy cash by parting it out. Also listed on Sacramento Craigslist. Local Pick Up Only! It won't drive any distance so will need to be towed.
