This is a privately owned Volkswagen Beetle that runs like new! The diesel motor was replaced with a diesel Jetta motor that has 70,000 miles on it. The motor was replaced 6 months ago. At the time the motor was replaced a new clutch and timing belt were also installed, and the exhaust system was repaired. All the wires, filters, Turbo, and any accessory items attached to the motor also were replaced. Mechanically this vehicle operates like new! The car does have some cosmetic issues. The paint on the hood and roof has clear coat peeling. The hood has some small dents in the front. There are scratches on the rear bumper. And there is a small dent on the left side rocker panel. The speedometer does not work. But the odometer and trip meter do work appropriately. There are also 3 lights illuminated on the dash console. The wind shield has a small crack on the passenger’s side. The odometer reads 296000 miles. The rear tires have decent tread, the fronts need to be replaced. The headliner is sagging. The PA inspection is due by July 2016. I average around 43 miles to a gallon driving this vehicle. The power windows and locks work fine as does the alarm system and radio.
