NC residents must have a valid NC drivers license and must have at least liability insurance coverage on the purchased vehicle before it can leave the Auto Focus lot. Auto Focus will complete all title work for NC residents.2.Out of state buyersAll buyers who take personal delivery, and drive their vehicle from the Auto Focus lot must have at least liability coverage insurance on the vehicle purachased as this is a requirement in NC. The title and registration process and associated costs will be the responsibility of the buyer. We provide airport pick up from GSO at no charge. 3. Deposit and final paymentA deposit of $500 is required within 24 hours of sale. Payment in full is required before a sold vehicle can be released. Vehicles can be paid for in cash, by certified funds, by personal check, once cleared, and by loan check. Auto Focus must be notified within 36 hours of sale as to how the vehicle will be paid for. An important note about the deposit: We try very hard to accurately represent our vehicles. If you are the winning bidder, or agree to purchase a vehicle and are dissatisfied with the condition of the vehicle once you arrive, we will return your deposit. After a year of working on this classic camper, it is finally ready for a new owner. This was a craigslist purchase, and as we all know, with craigslist, results may vary. It was a very original vehicle when we got it, as in all original and needed absolutely everything. Due to the age, this vehicle is exempt from odometer reporting, but we are confident that the mileage is accurate. We have performed extensive service, had the vehicle painted, replaced all of the seals, replaced the tent, renewed portions of the interior and had the bus cleaned. It's not a perfect example by any means, but it is a complete, mostly correct bus that is up to date and ready to go. It has pretty much all of the original accessories such as the power cord, screens, camp stool, owners book, kids cot etc. Overall, this bus is really solid. It has a good frame and is not rusty underneath. It's ideal for folks who actually want to use it, camp in it and have a great time. If you are looking for a perfectly restored bus, or one to restore, this is not the one for you.
Mechanical service:
We started with the engine. It ran when we got the bus and really just needed cleaning, re-sealing & service. With the engine out, we removed all of the cooling tins, cleaned & painted them; sent the cylinder heads to the machine shop to be checked, rebuilt the Solex carburators, and resealed the engine. At this time, the fuel pump, spark plugs & wires, muffler, engine mounts, belt, fuel line, fuel filter were also replaced, and all with correct original style parts. The oil & filter were changed. Also while the engine was out both battery trays were replaced and the engine bay was painted.
The transmission shifts correctly and hold all the gears. It is in good condition, so all we replaced is an axle boot and the shifter bushings.
Steering & suspension - 4 new shocks, new steering damper, drag link, and tie rods. The front beam was lubed and the bus got an alignment. The wheels were cleaned & painted and the tires replaced with proper C load rated 195/75R14C truck tires.
Brakes - new master cylinder, all 4 brake hoses replaced, new rear shoes & wheel cylinders, fluid flushed & bled.
With the bus driveable, next came paint. We stripped down the body and sent the bus to paint. The bus was originally all Pastel White. But to make it a bit more fun, we changed the bottom color to Orient Blue, which is a '74 bus color. The pop- top and bumpers were also painted. When it came back from paint, we installed new lights & lenses a new windshield, all new window and door seals. The top got a new tent and seal. The paint looks good, but its just driver quality.
With the exterior done, next came the interior. Everything came out. The cargo floor was cleaned & painted. All of the wood paneling was replaced with new Baltic Birch plywood. The sub floor & carpet were replaced. The cabinets and upholstery are original and got cleaned. The sink pump & faucet are new.
All reassembled, this is a good looking bus. It is clean, everything works. A lot of time, effort and new parts have gone into making it the bus it is today. We have provided over 70 photos and will gladly answer any questions you might have.

1. NC residents
In addition to the sale price, North Carolina residents are also responsible for: NC Highway Use Tax which is 3% of the vehicle's sale price; License and title fee of $73.00; Auto Focus documentation fee of $250. NC residents must have a valid NC drivers license and must have at least liability insurance coverage on the purchased vehicle before it can leave the Auto Focus lot. Auto Focus will complete all title work for NC residents.
2. Out of state buyers
All buyers who take personal delivery, and drive their vehicle from the Auto Focus lot must have at least liability coverage insurance on the vehicle purachased as this is a requirement in NC. The title and registration process and associated costs will be the responsibility of the buyer. We provide airport pick up from GSO at no charge.
3. Deposit and final payment
A deposit of $500 is required within 24 hours of sale. Payment in full is required before a sold vehicle can be released. Vehicles can be paid for in cash, by certified funds, by personal check, once cleared, and by loan check. Auto Focus must be notified within 36 hours of sale as to how the vehicle will be paid for. An important note about the deposit: We try very hard to accurately represent our vehicles. If you are the winning bidder, or agree to purchase a vehicle and are dissatisfied with the condition of the vehicle once you arrive, we will return your deposit. If you simply change your mind, or fail to even come look at the vehicle you have agreed to buy, your $500 deposit will not be refunded.
4. Shipping
Shipping cost and arrangements are the responsibility of the buyer.
5. Warranty
All vehicles sold by Auto Focus have been inspected and serviced by Foreign Accents, a Bosch Service Center in Greensboro, NC. All vehicles have a current NC inspection unless otherwise noted.
Vehicles sold by Auto Focus are sold AS-IS with no warranty unless there is factory warranty coverage remaining.
