Vehicle Detail
Chevrolet, 1957, 150 Sedan Delivery This weeks auction is for my rare 57 sedan delivery. I bought this car several years ago as a body from a guy who had already lifted it off the frame, rebuilt the frame, painted it black, set body back on frame then did the body work. Quarter panels have bondo in them and around the rear hatch still needs some body work. The engine is a 396 with race ready turbo 400. 373 Camaro posi 12 bolt rear end. Engine ‘69 396 2 bolt main bored .030 TRW 30 over forged pistons Crank shaft, 6223, 20/20 under cross drilled Rods resized and new rod bolts Balanced 215 Heads, reworked New Weiand Stealth Intake manifold 750 CFM Holley, New HEI Distributor, Braided spark plug wires Vintage Cal Custom unique valve covers Brand new oval air cleaner with Bow Tie top nut New Bow Tie T Handles New Oil Pump, Milling 77 Eckler’s high dollar ½ cut oil pan & pickup tube Rebuilt water pump Billett Aluminum pulleys New Aluminum radiator New 17” Flexible Fan Transmission Turbo 400, Short shaft, rebuilt with trans king, reverse manual valve body and tranny brake. Stall Converter, 2000 w/ deep vented transmission pan. With Hurst Pistol Grip shifter, quarter stick, with button. Rear End Out of 69 Camaro, 12 bolt posi, 373 geared. Special manufactured drive shaft. New Parts, not on car. Gas tank, in box, along with new 3/8ths sending unit in box. Bought these because previous owner told me gas tank had been flushed and inside coated and ready to go . When I filled tank it leaked somewhere from top, so needs to be changed out. Door Glass, new door and vent glass, gray tint. Driver’s Side Door Mirror in box. Shifter cover in box Third brake light, chrome plated, in package. Bow Tie floor mats in car. Bow Tie Valve stem caps. Other parts too numerous to mention, shown in photos. Front tires are new, have about 10 miles on them. Rear tires have about 50. The doors on this car are kind of a mystery to me. They were originally 210 doors and the beltline holes have been filled in. Inside inspection cover plates have never been drilled out. Outside moulding holes have never been drilled either. The fenders are kind of the same way. Both have holes drilled for moulding and one has holes drilled for louvers. Fenders have been patched, looks like with Bondo in the lower panels. The right one has rust by head light Back wheels are later model Chevrolet. The Bow Tie hub caps that you see on car are S10 NOS. We painted the Bow Tie red because we were going with a Bow Tie theme on the car. One hub cap is missing during road trip. I think I have all the interior moulding for this car. Front bumper brackets, most are straight, but the centers are bent. The heater for this car is the cheap heater, which will need restored. This delivery came with split front seat and a station wagon back seat. NOS Fuse block, already installed. Car is cold natured, but once it gets warmed up, watch out. This car was going to be my daily driver with occasional weekends at the midnight drags. Has not got there yet. Tag is current, title is up to date. Not interested in any trades. Sedan Delivery is a project driver. No warranties on vehicle or parts. I'm sure I have left a lot out, if you have questions or need to see all additional pictures, send me a message with your phone number and I will text you the link to the photos. The motor mounts I purchased from a manufacturer in California. The mount towers weld to each side of the front cross member and utilizes the high performance motor mounts you can get from Chevrolet. The rear cross member came from a later model Impala, I think, and I set it up to be a bolt in cross member. This setup up mounts the engine the way it should be mounted and makes for a neat setup. Car also needs starter solenoid because it will not hit on the starter. It will start for 3 or 4 days, then when you go to start it, it will not hit. Let it set for 3 or 4 hours, then it will start. I have a new one in the box, not installed yet. Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE
