Vehicle Detail

Car runs, but needs tune up. Unfortunately, I found out from the mechanic storing it for me that it had not been kept covered as I had thought, so it has been exposed for 2.5 years, hence the condition shown in the most recent photos. I am including older photos of the car as it was in 2011 until 2013, the last time I drove it. At the time, it could peel out. But for now it would need a tune up. Unfortunately I am a purist and did not want to go with an HEI. Instead, I opted for the good ole' mechanical points which I replaced. Original motor as far as I can tell from the stamp. I have not done a PHS inquiry. The carb is the right carb, but, from the carb stamp, it is a rochester 2bbl from 1968, so it may have been a leftover from the year before that was put on this 1969. If that is the case, it is probably the original carb. After I purchased the car in Sept 2011, I replaced the entire brake system with the exception of the pedal and the lever arm that pushes on the master cylinder. So, new master cylinder, new distributor block, 4 new lines, new disc brakes on the front, new drums on the rear. The floors were replaced and sealed around 2012. The carpet was replaced later, but given the 30 months of exposure to the elements, I would spend the $150 bucks to replace carpet. Radio is original, but does not function. I have a rear spoiler which is not finished or installed. I have the center console which is not installed and looks like a 47 year old console so it needs paint. I installed an RPM gauge and a new temp gauge and line to engine block. And a new thermostat. Plugs and sparks plug wires were replaced in 2011 along with points, condenser and coil. It is roadworthy except: 1) the horn circuit does not work (I have jury-rigged a doorbell for the horn button, so the problem is in the steering wheel I think since I replaced the relay and the horns), 2) the convertible top leaks rain, the convertible top motor leaks fluid and the frame lost a nut on the drivers side, hence the droop shown in the photo. Otherwise, on a sunny day, put the top down, isten t some tunes on your ipod, but keep the horn doorbell button handy :-) I had this listed a few months ago, but the buyer flaked out after winning without even a single message. It is ready to go WITHOUT reserve. I am sad to see her go. But,if you are an enthusiast, I am OK with giving her up. But remember, to be a daily driver, you will need to fix horn and convertible top. And clean the mildew off the seats. The rest can be slowly pieced together. But above all, make sure you ask the permission of the BOSS at home (unlike I did 5 years ago!). I will say, it is a head turner 47 years later and always will be. I just wish I could spend the money to fix her up like she deserves. I would prefer someone who wants a daily driver. If you are looking for a quick flip, this probably won't be your car. Photos 1 and 9-20 are from 2011-2103. Photos 2-8 are from March 2016. Any questions, please message me. I want you to make an informed decision. 5 Day Auction, not 7, so pay attention.
