We are vintage and classic BMW enthusiasts and acquired this desirable motorcycle from the estate of a former BMW dealer. It starts easily, runs quietly and pulls strong. This bike shifts and stops as well as any beemer from this era. The original paint on the tank still shines although the stripes are getting thin in some areas. At some point there was a good quality repaint of the headlight and front fender with the proper stripes hand painted on the fender. The engine and transmission cases are very clean. The front wheel chrome rim and spokes are in great shape. The rear rim shows some discoloration and the spokes have lost their shine. The front tire shows little wear but may need replacing due to age. The rear tire is new. The speedometer and all of the lights function properly. Some tasteful period accessories adorn the bike, such as the Hella bar-end signals, Albert headlight mirrors, and a Denfeld solo seat…the wide Schorsch Meier dual seat can be substituted if the buyer prefers. The battery and petcock are not shown in photos as they were removed for winter storage. They are included in the sale. This is a triple numbers matching machine that presents itself very well as is.
