Please read the description fully and ensure that you can meet the obligations of this auction before bidding. As is stated above, this is a NO RESERVE auction for a 1993 Mazda Miata. These are great little cars that have a great reputation. They are fun to drive, handle well, are reliable, cheap to run and cheap to maintain. Not many cars will give you more smiles per mile than a Miata. Spring is just around the corner, and this little Miata will make a great cruiser for the summer! It is not perfect, but it is in pretty good condition for the age. The 1.6L engine runs well, has plenty of power, and does not smoke or have blow-by. The auto transmission shifts up and down through all of its gears normally without any problems. The suspension feels solid, and the brakes are strong. The car is an absolute pleasure to drive. There are current PA emissions stickers on the windshield that run out in June. It could use a wheel alignment in the front, but otherwise drives great. The black interior is in pretty good shape for the age. There are no cracks on the dash or center console. The carpets look good. There is minimal fading and wear on the cloth seats and the factory floor mats. The driver’s seat has small tears on the lumbar support, which is a common finding in these cars. The heater pumps out great heat. There is A/C but I cannot tell if it is blowing cold or not because of the cold weather we have had. All of the lights and gauges work. The electric mirrors work normally, windows are manual and work normally, and there is a driver’s airbag. The horn and the cruise control are not currently working. The “airbag” light on the dash is flashing in intervals of 6, but no other warning lights are on. The wipers work well. The convertible top looks like it has been replaced not too long ago and is in very good shape. The weather strips for the top need to be replaced because they do allow small leaks when it rains. This is a common occurrence, and the weather strips can be bought from a number of online vendors. GoMiata has them on sale at the moment. The exterior of the car is in decent shape for the age, though the paint is not perfect. There is no rust. This Miata has had a cheaper re-spray of Mariner Blue at some point in the past. It does look like that was the original color, since the inside of the trunk, engine bay and doors is blue. More recently someone has made a few touch-ups with a blue spray paint that is not an exact match. There are a few spots of this here and there that were probably either scratches or rust repairs. The entire driver’s door and rear panel on the driver’s side have been re-sprayed like this. I checked it with a magnet and the magnet sticks everywhere but an area in front of the wheel arch (very common for rust) and an area below the door handle. I suspect that these were rust / rust hole repairs and the previous owner just got carried away with the spray can. There is a small scuff on the front spoiler. The factory “daisy” mags are in good shape, and all 4 tires have good tread. Clear taillights have also been installed. Underneath the car appears solid. This would make a great daily or summer driver for someone. It is absolutely wonderful to drive, and will be so much more fun in a few weeks when you can put the top down. I would say that this Miata is in at least average condition for the age and mileage. It is not in showroom condition, it has some faults, but it is still a nice car. I am selling this car on behalf of my father because he does not use the internet. This car is owned by his small, used car dealership. Since this car is owned by a dealership, the buyer has the option of getting a 2-month temp tag, so that he or see can legally drive the car home. I am open to offers made through ebay in accordance with ebay rules, and reserve the right to stop the auction if an offer is accepted, however, no offers made on the final day or after the auction has been won will be accepted.
