We have a body shop here and could have painted it and made the truck more expensive but my guess is that you the buyer are really not going to care much about faded paint that just doesn't look that bad. Maybe a long name but what's really important is how this truck was treated by it's previous owner. First impressions are super important to me. I see my vehicles that I buy before they are serviced and detail like you see here. So my first impression was from seeing the truck show up on my auction list because I now how hard they are to find and my "Auction Finder" gives me a list of all Dodge Ram Diesels showing up each week at the local auctions. On that online list I can usually see a couple pictures but it also gives me the particulars too, like mileage and Autocheck History. First thing I do is check it's Autocheck/Carfax history for prior issues, this truck had none. All clean and no prior accidents. Then I look at the miles to determine if I even want to go look at it. Over 200k on this one and I was a bit sketchy until I saw the truck in person. I have nearly 30 years in the business and I own a restoration shop for classic cars and in two second I can tell a mistreated vehicle from 50 feet away. At 50 feet I found myself running to this truck because I was so excited about it's great condition. I opened the door and was amazed at the condition of the interior. It looked more like a fifty thousand mile truck. I flipped the ignition on, waited for the glow plug light to go off and fire it up. It sounded and ran like a Swiss Watch. No issues to be found, no leaks underneath, no funny noises and the overall condition absolutely stunning for the miles. I knew someone had this truck as their baby and it showed all the right clues of extreme care. I had not driven it though because at the auctions, I can't. I have to see it driven through the auction, then bid to buy it amongst 200 other guys clambering for it. Well, I won because I know how hard these are to find and I am one of the only exclusive online dealers out there, especially here in Las Vegas. Next, I got to drive it to my service center for Dodge Diesel Trucks. ... oh no... During my ten minute drive over to the service center I could hear a knock in the rear axle or driveline. I wasn't sure what it was but I was about to find out soon. A complete overall inspection revealed that it was hardly an issue at all and one that I would obviously have repaired so my buyer, You, would think he just hit the jackpot and found a truck that needs nothing. Yes, This truck does not need anything but a happy new owner. I took care of replacing the U-Joints and the Center Support Bearing with a SPR 1410 Solid Center Bearing and a few hundred dollars later was fully inspected and ready to go to my shop for the finer details. The dash had cracks on the larger flat portion up top so I ordered a dash replacement cap and permanently installed it and since it came with a protective dash cover, it looks like new now. A great detail from top to bottom as best we could see under there and she's this good as you see. Brakes are great, no leaks, no engine or transmission issues and she runs and drives like she only has a quarter of those miles. The truck is exceptional in all ways. Worth your attention for sure.
