I have for sale my 1949 Chevy 3100 stepside shortbed pickup truck. Was going to build this up to pull my old camp trailer, but bought a 53 Chevy panel to do that instead. Also, didn't want to tear apart a 95% original truck! It was originally a farm truck from Oregon. Has the original 216 engine and manual floor shift transmission. It does start up and idle very nice, just rebuilt the carb. It does drive in all the gears, but it needs brake work. NO BRAKES!! Haven't got that far into it. It was sanded down and shot with epoxy primer, so you can see where bodywork is needed. Only has few dings and dents here and there. Not bad at all for being a farm truck. All original sheet metal. Does have a few small rust areas. Cab corners are both good! There is some rust just behind both front fenders on the lower cowl area, they make patch panels for those areas. 3 small holes on the passenger side belt line behind door (see photos). There are sheet metal patches on the floor board, but passenger side is covered due to the battery lid missing. The battery has been converted to 12 volt and moved into the engine compartment, but could be converted back to original 6 volt. Drivers side has a small patch as well, found one small little rust crack along a seam, so a patch was welded over it. Nothing major as far as rust or bodywork. I would say to put it back to original, it would just need the wheels, bed wood, tail lights, bench seat and converted back to generator and 6 volt. As far as I know, the gauges work, haven't really checked the speedo, but rest of gauges work. This would be a great start to restore back to original or hot rod out. Clean Nevada title ready to go. They are all flat glass, so you can take them into a glass place and have them cut you new piece.
