Thank you for viewing my ad for a 1986 1/2 Ton 4 Wheel Drive Suburban. I have owned this vehicle for the last six years but it is now time to find it a new home. I used this vehicle to pull a small trailer for my mowing service and have decided not to continue that business this spring. The Suburban has around 173000 miles on it, however it has a Jasper rebuilt transmission with approximately 35k miles and we have recently installed a rebuilt 350 engine. We have put less than 500 miles on the Suburban since the motor replacement. At that time, we also replaced the water pump, radiator, all belts/hoses, altenator, power steering pump, coil & module in the distributor and the plug wires. We also replaced the automatic locking 4wd hubs with new lockouts and replaced both ball joints on the passenger side. The body is solid, it did have some rusted areas but we cut those out and repaired the areas with steel. It will need to be painted. After we repaired the rust areas, we primed and sealed them but never resprayed the vehicle. The front inner fenderwells do have rust. The interior is good for its age, the headliner is not sagging and the seats are in good shape. The carpet is faded/stained but not torn up. It has 16x10 Mickey Thompson aluminum wheels. The tires are fair and will pass inspection but will need to be replaced soon. Overall the Suburban is a very solid vehicle that runs and drives as it should. It is not perfect, but I feel I have priced it well for its condition. Please feel free to contact me with any question, I am trying to represent this vehicle to the best of my knowledge.
