Vehicle Detail
I have a 1988 Suzuki Samurai that I have been building on for about 2 years now, I am only selling because I have bought an older home (1922) and it is bleeding me dry on home improvements, so I'm looking to sell one of my projects to cover some of the cost. 1988 Suzuki Samurai with a 1.6 16v engine with 83K miles on it, runs great. no smoke or funny noises. All the gaskets were replaced at time of install, valve cover, cam seals, front and real main seal, etc...New spark plugs and wires. New belt. New K&N style air breather and new Dodge 318 motor mounts. Fresh oil and oil filter along with transmission fluid been replaced and new seal at both ends of the transmission. New shifter guide bolt and bushing in transmission shifter replaced and new shifter bushing in transfer case replaced. I installed a stage 3 clutch, pressure plate, and throw out bearing from Off-Road motorsports. The 1.6 wiring harness was sent to Zuks Off Road to be modified for install so no excess wiring everywhere. New thrust glass pack muffler and all new exhaust. New electric fuel pump.I have a free and clear Georgia title available. The body is in great shape to, little to no rust anywhere. I had the body (inside and out) sprayed with Desert Tan Line X truck bed coating. Looks very good and thick. Seats are from a Daihatsu Rocky and rear seat is factory samurai. I have removed the doors with plans of tube doors but never got to do that. The only top I use is a new bikini top from best top. Suspension is new 3" springs all the way around from Petroworks. New black rock crawler wheels 15x8 with new 31x10.50 mud tires on them. All four shocks are new from 4wheel parts. I dumped fluid from both axles and replaced with new 80w fluid and replaced the rear axles seals and rear wheel cylinders while I was in there. Brakes have new pads and shoes all the way around also. This was a project and it still needs a few things to be perfect. I feel I have done the hard parts so who ever decide to buy this rig can tweek it their self. Needs clicky starter fix. Oil leak somewhere at back of engine (leaks 3-4 drops after shut down). Needs seat belts installed, I have them just haven't installed them since I almost never drove on the road. I mainly used it around on my property, It is street legal and will drive 65-70 no problem but it is a 1988 Suzuki Samurai not a 2015 Cadillac so don't expect heated seats and luxury items. Overall, not perfect but a very cool sammy that someone else could use for a very good platform for a project or drive it as is. If you have questions please feel free to ask. I'm located in Clermont, Georgia (Northeast Ga). $500 deposit immediately after auctions end and full payment within 1 week. I will help with shipping but buyer is responsible for all shipping cost. This is a No Reserve auctions so last bid wins it.On Feb-15-16 at 09:59:04 PST, seller added the following information: I have received several emails asking about the doors and targa, I do not have the doors or targa, what you see in the picture is what you get. Several people ask if the heat works, to tell the truth I never tested it because of the lack of doors. I tested the heat and YES it works. This was a A/C equipped Samurai when new but does not have the compressor. Others have asked about the muffler.....YES it is loud, it is a Trust Glass pack, I love it, but this is one of those things you can change easily if you don't like it. And lastly, This sammy is NOT currently tagged or insured so I do not drive on the road with it. It can be tagged and insured VERY easily by next owner, it does have a CLEAR title in hand. Thanks!
