Vehicle Detail

1970 International Scout 800A 304 V8 4 Speed Manual Transmission Spicer 18 Twin Stick This spent almost all of its life in Southern California has not be restored but dramatically improved. The biggest thing about this Scout is the lack of rust and original paint inside and out. A factory V8 Scout is the icing on the cake. Mechanically Everything is really nice and tight. Start and idles perfect due to a new Motorcraft 2150 Carb with a manual choke. Engine has been tuned, cooling system refreshed with a new core, thermostat, hoses and belts. The is one of the smoothest IH motors I have had. No unusual noised. Clutch is new and works great. Brakes have been done all the way around and are factory manual. New Gell Cell Battery with TG battery holder welded in. New battery cables and much much more. Interior Stock, complete and nice. Missing the radio but I wired it up so you can add one if you want. The paper glove box is missing. I did an electric windshield wiper conversion and all the vac wipers are gone. A very nice upgrade. New seat covering and a rare stock rear seat. Seat belts for the kids and adults. Just surface rust in the driver and pass floor but has the original paint. Fuel Cleaned the fuel tanks on both sides, new seeing units, hoses and screw in gas caps. New fuel selector valve as well. Runs great off the mech fuel pump. Exterior Dents and dings and scratch but original. Rare spare tire carrier. Top is in good shape but surface rust showing inside some and the hatch works fine. All the glass is great. Windows roll up and down and vent wings work fine. I have a used front piece that will ship with the vehicle if you want to swap it since there is a dent on the driver side front. It would bolt right in. There is one rust spot in the tailgate an shown in the pics. Lift Kit and 4WD This features a new CPT 2" lift kit with reverse shackle kit installed. Bilstein 5100 Shocks all the way around. You can fit 32-33" tires. The Scout has 31 x10.50 x 15 on is now that still has good tread. 4x4 works perfect and this Scout would go anywhere. This is not a trailer queen. It is a serious Scout where money was spent to make it work like it should. Finding one with out filler, spray in bed liner covering the rust and complete is easy thing to do. This is an honest Scout at an honest price. You could restore it, but then would you drive it off road? V-8 Factory Early Scouts are getting more rare by the day. Take this one home and enjoy it for the next 50 years. I am asking just what I have in this Scout.
