Vehicle Detail

1997 BMW 328iC E36 RWD two door w/ 5sp manual transmission- 100% original and unmolested. There are several issues dealing with interior and/or cosmetic things which the car will need done so consider it a minor project if you want this car to be perfect (outlined below). That being said, I feel the car could be driven across the country today with absolutely no issues. The motor, clutch, transmission are all very strong. All suspension struts, brakes, and rotors have been replaced recently with little mileage. Diamond Black Metallic with light grey leather interior Owned since 2005 for 11 years since 51K miles, no modifications, and all OEM parts with any repairs always done by a certified tech. Options The car came fully equipped with sport, premium, and cold weather package with heated seats. Overall Condition Let me start off by saying this car will bring you alot of joy and runs great. The motor pulls strong with no hesitation, no grinds or slips in the transmission, and the suspension and brakes have been completely replaced. This isn't some old mechanically neglected E36 like many of them for sale. No aftermarket struts etc were used, just the expensive OEM ones from the dealer and it handles great around corners with very tight steering. There are no check engine lights lit. A/C compressor is new, kicks on and works great. Heat works great. All power windows, tach, speedometer etc work fine. There are no rust issues. A few things it needs are related to interior and cosmetics as follows: 1) Ignition lock stuck - last week after just having a fuel injector replaced to correct a check engine light, the igniton lock stopped working so you cannot turn the key (common e36 issue). The piece of plastic trim under the steering wheel is removed so you can start the car with a screw driver easily...I can show you. This was the last straw and decided I do not have the time to mess with all of these little things. 2) A few interior odds and ends. There is one brake light out. The passenger seat sensor needs to be replaced (senses when someone is not sitting there, for airbag to not deploy if noone is there). The drivers bolster has the normal wear with a couple 1-inch splits...the other seats are in great shape. Five of the six levers for the power seats work, but one does not. The interior drivers side door panel needs to be re-hung (lost the 4 T10 screws when I removed it a few months ago). 3)The convertible top and motor were both replaced at the dealer and are in perfect shape with no leaks, although the strap needs to be replaced. A BMW tech told me it needs the tension strap and repair kit F which is $61 on Pelican parts (they sell all of the repair kits for E36 tops). This will allow the top to properly seat at the very end when it goes under the cover so you don't have to do it manually by hand.4) Exterior has minor dings on front hood etc and the rear bumper has some clearcoat fading. These are all not major items but I don't have the time to mess with them. Mechanical Thousands and thousands of mechanical work done with a stack of receipts for all work listed.
