Vehicle Detail
Not much fun looking through all these listings for just the right vehicle to buy, is it? I know. I'm shopping for another vehicle to buy after I sell our Tahoe. I want one that's been kept clean. Not just regular clean, but REALLY clean. One that hasn't been abused like a rental. One that's been babied and loved. It's tough to tell the good ones from the stinkers though, isn't it? Especially when it seems like they're all for sale by dealers. Dealers who aren't going to tell you which ones they had to spend hours in to remove and hide the years of built-up filth. Dealers who are going to tell you that EVERY vehicle they have for sale is the cream of the crop, in perfect condition, and has undergone a 6 billion point check. Because the truth is, somebody has to buy the stinkers. You just don't find out until you get it home and start looking closely. Then it's too late. You know what I'd like? I'd like to buy from a private seller. One who actually knows how the vehicle was used. One that I can look in the eyes and tell if he's being honest or not. One who will know about the plug in the gas tank, the fuel pump that had to be replaced a few years ago, the interior door handles being replaced under recall. I want to buy from the guy who drove it to every oil change and tire rotation while he owned it. The guy who had to vacuum it and clean the windows regularly. The guy who cares about it. Not from a guy who never saw the vehicle before last Thursday, and will tell me whatever I want to hear, so I'll buy it TODAY. That's why you should buy my Tahoe. There are lots of Tahoes for sale out there, several LTZs, even a few with DVD and Navigation, and maybe even one or two as clean as this one. Maybe. But chances are, it's for sale by a dealer. A dealer who has a huge overhead to cover, and who prices even the stinkers at a potential profit in the thousands of dollars. But this Tahoe... THIS one... is for sale by the guy who loves it. The guy who drove it for the last 6 years, after buying it from his wife's best friend from high school. The guy who maintained it, kept the inside and outside beautiful, and is sad to see it go. The guy who can answer any question you can come up with, honestly. So here's the deal. I included a list of features, and I've detailed the condition of the vehicle. It's pretty standard stuff, except for the things I noted as different. Concerning price: I pulled the common price sources for this Tahoe, like KBB and NADA, to find the value of this truck. It sold new for about $50k (I have the original sticker), and KBB says it's worth $17,734 now. NADA retail value (the price you'd pay at a dealer, not private party) is $20,025! Don't do that. But if any Tahoe LTZ with DVD and navigation deserves those prices, it's this one. The reserve price will be thousands below those numbers. That way you pay less, and I won't get a lowball trade in offer from a dealer. We both win, in real dollars. Please come look at it in Allen TX, and/or ask any questions you'd like. Brian
