Deals are made through conversations, not texting, not emailing or conversations without even knowing who or what you are talking to, they happen through personal contact. I want my my clients to know who they are trying to make a deal with. I want to know their real intent to buy also. This equation does not exist with "What's your best price?" and no personal contact. I have gone to great lengths to find this incredible vehicle, make sure it's the best it can be for you and present it in a way that no other seller does online. I do that so we can talk, make a clear deal, fair for both sides and watch a happy buyer enjoy their new ride. If you just don't have the gumption to make contact and you just want an idea of price, look at what the market values posted above say, they are fairly accurate on AVERAGE vehicles across the US. If you think this vehicle is average, above or below, bid accordingly or. . . pick up the phone and have a pleasant conversation with a real enthusiast that can make your deal on the spot. Keeping it real. Yes, perfectly posed to give the onlooker that understanding that this Pony is more than just a gentle ride. When I came upon the opportunity to buy this car, all I had was a few pictures of what appeared to be a beautiful Mustang Fastback with a 4 speed. First and foremost, they are getting very difficult to find and own. Nice ones, even more so. So, with caution due to the lack of quality information, I made my trip to San Diego to view the car that had a proud price tag on it. When I showed up to meet it's seller at her house, there was no question from 1000 feet down to 1 foot of initial inspection that I was not going away without the prime ride. Lines were spectacular, paint finish the same and it just kept getting better and better. The mature lady that owned this car had years of experience with Mustangs and Shelbys too. Sitting right next to this car was her 67 Shelby GT350 in stunning condition. I really wanted both but she would only sell me one. I did not complain and hander her the cash. Satisfied! And that is exactly how you will feel too. Satisfied and proud to own this spectacular Pony. Read, view and pour over hundreds of pictures. We don't hide anything and we have years of satisfied clients as you can see in our feedback. This is not an average restoration or build, it is a high quality, high end road ready Mustang Fastback A-Code with a very special and rare feature under the hood, a pro-built verified K-Code HiPo motor that send power to the pavement like its been stripe across it's ass. The quality of this build can be seen up close and appreciated and we show that in our pictures, details and disclosure so you can feel confident in making an offer that can buy this car. If you want this car like I did when I saw it, then make it rain $100s and watch how excited I get to see you win and own this car. That is what I am about. People ask me all the time, "have you ever wanted to keep one?" Of course I have, like this one, but I love selling dreams and seeing people reach them. I get them, drive them, show them, meet great new friends with them and get to have all the beautiful models pose with them for a permanent record of my fabulous collection of thousands of cars over the last 14 years. You get to do the same if you want...or just sit there and wait until someone else calls me and makes an offer that buys your dream. Nah! Pick up the phone to make your deal with me, you won't get figures any other way unless you bid and hit the reserve. Good Luck and talk to you soon. Extreme Quality restored, high-end 1966 Ford Mustang GT A-code Fastback. Full professional build on a real K-Code HiPo motor with Tri-Y headers throaty exhaust. Real 14" Shelby Wheels and a very rare and expensive Shelby F.I.V steering wheels. Spectacular body and deep lacquer black paint, stunning exterior bright work and new interior, an original Ford GT350 Tach and GT cluster with a 4 speed transmission. . . .oh and the list goes on and on...keep reading. Complete, all new steering and suspension and power steering with every single link, bolt and bushing replaced. Doors, hood and trunk close solid, windows roll down smooth and all glass is crystal beautiful . . .this is NOT a "pig in lipstick." Acceleration is an understatement. No, she's not a big block or a modern FI crate motor, she's the best this car ever had...a pro-built HiPo K-Code high revving engine that screams performance and nimble acceleration. This is how Ford designed them back in the day and exactly why today, they are at the pinnacle of collector status. Coupled to the original four speed transmission that shifts perfectly and the car corners and handles like a dream . . . Dialed in stance is muscle car perfect from any position and exhaust tip cut matching GT rear valance looks deadly serious. It's not just about stance with this car either. That K-Code HiPo motor sounds simply divine with every rev...up to 6000 if you want to push it. It will not back off or sputter, it was built to race Vintage Style. A casual look underneath reveals pricey new parts and invites a closer inspection. Lights, wipers all function smooth and new. Exterior trim is clean with no pitting and all lenses are bright and clear. Imagine getting in and flooring it with the wheels turned like this. (opposite lock steering input, tire smoke drama, people smiling, you smiling) This Mustang's potent curbside swagger exactly matches the sizzling performance and modern reliability its Hollywood good looks suggest. Acceleration, handling and braking all live up to the image projected. Inside, no stiff heater controls or floppy old seats - just firm support. Original restorations are fun to look at but nostalgia is a poor substitute for the spine-tingling experience of actually piloting a well sorted '60s hot rod. To properly enjoy an American classic on today's roads the components must be solid and built right, this car is just that...Built Right That painstaking process with this Mustang has created a one-of-a-kind pony car that literally defines the genre and commands top dollar . . . today and well into the future. Even the GT fuel cap is original to the car with its flat black "GT" lettering paint no duplicated in knock offs. Shelby center, gray inner wheel and machined polished outer rim are exquisite for being original wheels. You heard that right, those are original Shelby GT350 wheels, not knock offs. Newer interior with matching door panels, arm rests and an orignal Shelby F.I.V wood steering wheel finish this spectacular interior. If you have ever priced a F.I.V Shelby Steering wheel, they can sell for figures between $2000 and $6000. I couldn't find comparables on the original Shelby Wheels. Believe me, if you don't care about the Steering wheel and wheels by offering low offers, I'll be happy to remove them and sell them privately. AM/FM stereo with front enclosed speakers. Carpet, head liner, dash pad and all interior lighting crisp and sparkling . . . The original feel of a 1966 Mustang is preserved with carefully considered upgrades and restraint. Professional Build 289 Cubic Inch HiPo K-Code V8 Engine Holly 4-barrel carburetor, Edlebrocl RPM Air Gap aluminum intake manifold, coated tri-y headers, Ford aluminum ribbed valve covers, Chrome Monte Carlo Bar. You could serve food out of this engine bay it's so clean. A Top Loader original 4 Speed Transmission shifts like perfection. They are very few paints that give this depth, Black Lacquer is one of them when it is laid by a master. GT Fog Lights with wiring through punched holes and the fog light switch right where the factory put it. The original GT Mustang HCC AX four speed manual steering box as it should be. Large Cap Brake master found on GT Mustangs Also rare but known to have happened at the factories is the double stamping. This is the second Mustang I have had with this. The upper left is the correct fastback stamping and matches under the fender and passenger fender and of course the door too. Unique to a few Mustangs and known by true collectors too. Complete disassembly and replacement of all steering and suspension system pieces with new springs, shocks, bushings, larger front sway bar bushings . . . Undercarriage showcases the exceptional quality of this build All new fuel and brake lines, new parking brake system, new fuel tank with steel line and dual exhaust with trumpet tailpipes. VIN Decode: 6R09A117029 model year 6 1966 assembly plant R San Jose, California body style 09 Fastback 2+2 engine A 289/4v 225 horsepower sequential production number 117029 New brake pads . . . New suspension pieces and brake line can be seen as well . . . The original owner of this Mustang with her GT350 Shelby too. We enjoyed meeting her and having time to find out about her history with Vintage Mustangs. She's owned, work on, restored and refurbished many over the last forty years she said. Her baby was the green 67 GT350 sitting next to the GT 66. We wanted both, but she just smiled and told us we would have to wait in line after the coroner pronounced her passing...so no time soon. In her home she had several trophies from the 66 and the Shelby and several other Mustangs. This sweet lady was not your average driver of classic cars, she was a Mustang Enthusiast and Builder. Everyone has their passions and we happened to get one out of her garage. Seriously take some time and look at the following 100 plus pictures that go into great detail to show fit and finish, from top to bottom and everywhere in between. Like her, I am an enthusiast before I am a dealer. I know what you want to see and hear about the car so you can feel confident in making an offer to buy. Read our feedback too. This is so important because it's nearly 100% from buyers of big dollar purchases of other cars going back 13 years. I like happy buyers and my cars attract the most serious and satisfied buyers. Enjoy! A note from the owner. I am a “used car dealer” but before that, I’m an automobile enthusiast. I love original rare and high quality modified vintage cars and over the past decade I’ve been in business, have come to appreciate an expanding selection of high-demand, high value vehicles. I specialize in and am always on the lookout for cars and trucks that were cherished by their previous owners. I have an experienced eye for quality but I’ve discovered that my preferred buyer can instantly discern such a vehicle and I have therefore, built my business and reputation around finding these kinds of cars for this type of customer. Super low miles and/or gentle ownership are strict requirements but a car must do something for me on a personal level if there is any hope of convincing you, the bidder, that this is an above average, exceptional vehicle. If nothing about the car excites me, it probably won’t do much for you either and I would soon be out of business. With just seven family and alike employees and no sales people, I realize how unusual a “dealership” like mine may at first glance appear. It has taken great care and effort to create such an organization and often, an unusually high investment in a particular car we are about to list. To sell the best it is critical to have a trusted experts in my corner. Alex Hoxsey our seasoned mechanic of 43 years, has my back. He and his crew can fix anything; from a low budget beater to the absolute most expensive exotic you can name, no job is too big and no small detail unimportant. Having worked years with Ford and GM dealers in Southern California was one of the dealers he worked for years ago and the list of Fords from Pintos to Shelby's have not missed his wrench. Exotics at Hollywood Sports Cars & Ferraris didn't miss wrench time with him either. The most exciting thing you can have as a dealer is a seasoned professional mechanic that loves his craft and takes extensive lengths to make anything he does right. They do an exhaustive 130 point inspection on each and every vehicle and nothing escapes their methodical investigation. Experience has shown that everything I spend making a car truly “right” will come back to me not only with a higher selling price, but a happy customer that says good things about me. Moreover; it allows me, the owner and writer to describe the car with ease and confidence, something that simply is not possible unless I trust my advisors. If major issues are found or the cost of fixing the car the way it should be makes it too expensive to sell, my choice is an easy one. I simply absorb a few hundred dollars loss for my trouble and sell it at auction. After the vehicle is fully sorted it encounters the detailed eyes of our shop team. They intern detail our cars until they are near factory production line roll-off condition. We try not to miss an inch anywhere, but perfection is tough so there might be a piece of lint here and there. Next, I comb over every inch, research its history and document originality and authenticity. Historical significance, rarity, special features, possible modifications and much more are used to accurately describe the vehicle with integrity and honesty. Most important for the potential buyer are the 100 to 150 high resolution pictures that my professional photographer son Skylar takes and at times I take some of these photos too. The pricey equipment we use would be right at home in the hands of the very best professional photographers in the world and I’ve developed a logical format that walks you around the entire vehicle with close-up shots of every square inch. We provide detailed views of the interior, under the hood and then put it on a lift to show the undercarriage and confirm that the beauty of the car you are considering is not merely skin deep. Even our detailers are enthusiastic about the cars they so meticulously clean. This reconditioning can sometimes take several days and I’ve converted a paint booth, especially prepared for the professional clay bar and polishing each car lovingly receives. Usually, I’ll also include a high definition video that shows the car doing its thing. If it’s a fast car, we film it going fast. If it’s a 4x4 you’ll see it crawling up a hill. In every case you will hear things like a rumbling exhaust, working sound system and watch the temperature fall on a digital, laser thermometer pointed at an air conditioning vent. How many “dealers” will video a Lotus Esprit doing a buck-eighty? We do. No “dealer,” on-line or in the real world, takes it to this level. No other seller or organization provides you, the buyer, with so much information. I do this because it is the only way I can convince a person; often a world away, unable to touch or feel their purchase, that my vehicle is for real and what I say is the truth. All the above is necessary for me to stay in business while keeping integrity intact. I want every buyer to be happy and I need glowing feedback on eBay. To accomplish that I need satisfied customers that are as thrilled with their purchase as I was when I bought it. If you have any questions at all, please call me on my cell at: 702-353-7500. If your inquiry is sincere and your offer serious, you’ll find me the most accommodating business partner you’ve ever dealt with. If you call or e-mail asking for my reserve or “what is my bottom line” I will be looking for ways to politely end the conversation. Until you are ready to actually pull the trigger, I will happily quote you the absolute highest nationally advertised suggested retail price I can find – a number we both know will not buy the car so, don’t waste your time, or mine. I am after all, a “used car dealer.” Serious buyers know the maximum they can offer. I then must simply decide if I can sell for that number. If you hit the reserve, the decision is no longer mine. I must sell at that number. OFFERS GET MY ATTENTION: 702-353-7500 or Doug@vivalasvegasautos.com If you want to make a deal, pick up the phone and talk a serious offer. 702-353-7500 I don't respond to emails asking for "bottom line, sale price, reserve, or Buy-it-Now" figures on top line cars. THE ONLY WAY YOU GET THOSE FIGURES IS TO CALL ME! The book values posted below are relevant to "real" selling figures. NADA & KBB wouldn't be in business if they posted nonsense. But they only account for averages around the nation. If this car is less than or better than average, bid or offer accordingly.
