Production numbers: 1989 - 2,842 sold 1990 - 909 sold 1991 - only 8 units sold to fulfill the contract with ASC. During production the convertibles came in 4x2 and shift-on-the-fly 4x4 varieties, with standard five-speed manual transmission, fog lamps, padded roll bar, velour seats, power windows and locks, rear anti-lock brakes, full gauge package, 3.9 V-6 engine, tilt wheel, AC, automatic and cruise control. The Sport convertible had a manual vinyl top that could be folded back and covered with a boot or completely removed. It was based on a two-door pickup with a metal roof on its cab, and was assembled at Chrysler's Dodge City truck complex in Warren, Michigan. The trucks were then shipped to American Sunroof Co (ASC). ASC sliced the roof off and added the appropriate components to turn it into a convertible for open-air driving. Now, please remember that most of the trucks were 2 wheel drive units. Less than a half of 3759 made were 4x4s and the most of those 4x4s did not have full package setup. This particular pickup truck has everything. It has low miles, clean engine, clean title and drives really good. Drop the top down and tie your surfboards to the roll bar to go to the beach or hookup your boat, engage 4x4 and take it to the ocean.
