She was able to log a mere 42k miles on this Jeep since then, and has kept it in fantastic original shape!! Carfax shows 40 service records over the years at the local Jeep dealer every few months! The documented history of this Jeep per Carfax is incredible! Finished in a beautiful Burgundy with a Light Gray hard top, and matching Gray vinyl interior. Check out the over 100 quality photos to get a good feel for this condition of this Jeep. The truck is optioned with rare A/C, and an automatic transmission! Perfect white steel wheels, original Jeep mud flaps! The inline 6 cylinder runs great! It has a matched set of Goodyear tires with great tread remaining. Radio delete package, rear defrost, tilt wheel, intermittent wipes and full gauge instrumentation are other options ordered. The gray hard top is in awesome shape, along with all the original glass. The interior is super clean, showing only wear on the drivers seat (some seams starting to pull apart on the bottom cushion, see pic). Dash has no cracks and all the lights work inside. We did notice the fuel gauge jumps around sometimes. The exterior body is just like the rest, showing beautifully with minimal wear. There are a few minor scratches pictured. It looks like the left rear 1/4 panel was refinished at some time, with a repair on the bottom left corner. The paint matches nicely!! (pic) The rest of the paint looks original, and shines nicely. A few minor pits starting to show on the passenger side door. (pic) The truck was garaged. Both front headlights work, but show condensation inside the sealed beams, causing discoloration (see pics). The passenger side rubber fender fair looks like it was refinished to cover up a cosmetic blemish (see pic). The only other flaw that I could find was a small tear on the spare tire cover where the hatch glass could catch it if the tail gate was not open fully while opening the glass. The rear hatch stays up by itself, but the gas charged pistons are original and starting to get tired. The underside was undercoated with a textured rubber undercoating prior to us purchasing the Jeep. A beautiful original Jeep! you will be hard pressed to find another 1988 Jeep that will put you as the 2nd owner!!! Pride in ownership at its finest! Please ask any questions before the listing ends.
