Vehicle Detail
1969 CST 4x4 Blazer Survivor. The man I bought this Blazer from was part of the original family, and his Uncle purchased it brand new in 1969. It is a true survivor that has been meticulously maintained and cared for and only has just over 74,000 ORIGINAL MILES. A good amount of paperwork including the warranty card and protecto plate! The Blazer wears its original orange paint that still has amazing shine and ZERO rust. It has some scratches and small dings, but anyone would be proud to show off this original finish at shows! The original double wall top looks great, fits great, and the hatch works. The truck has all of its original panels and moldings. It still has its special option side mirrors and factory ordered chrome steel rims. It is missing the factory hubcaps. Original black CA license plates. The exterior is completely original. The interior is very clean. The front bucket seats, door panels, and rear CST side panels were refinished at some point. I have a brand new set of original style front door panels for it. The rear seat is original and has a few small tears but still looks very nice and is in great shape for its age. It retains the factory mounted spare tire inside. The drivetrain on the Blazer is in really good shape and needs nothing. The original motor and transmission were rebuilt by the original owner at 52,000 miles and the front fender wells were powder coated. I was told it is all matching numbers but the engine code and suffix appear to be wrong if I am decoding it correctly. It is possible the short block was damaged and replaced. It came from the factory with the stock 2 barrel carb and still has this configuration. It starts right up and runs fabulous. The Blazer still even has the dealer chalk marks on the firewall!!! It has dealer-installed air conditioning that blows COLD and has a new compressor. It has been sitting for awhile and although the tires have great tread, they do show their age. Overall, this is an extremely original Blazer that you could get in and drive without doing hardly a thing! It would be the only one like it at shows and catches everyone’s attention as it goes down the road!! If you are looking for a very highly optioned Blazer, don’t let this time capsule get away!! This is by far the lowest production year for the Chevy Blazer, with only 4935 total made for this first year of production. You will not find a more original and cared for example than this one! Clear CA title in hand. Please ask all questions before bidding. Call Ron at 530-401-4949 for more info. There are more pictures of the car on my Photobucket page. The link is below.
