We purchased this car, along with the original hardtop, from the original owner's son. This car, we were told, has been in the family since new. We have some mild documentation on the car. The car was stored inside over the years. It is not flawless as you can see. It IS a fantastic driver and complete. It runs and drives very nicely, stops straight and well, shifts great, and tracks straight. It makes fantastic power and feels just like a 50k mile MB should. The body is straight and free of any major accidents. The panels line up nicely and the car shows well. We note some oxidation in the form of rust and corrosion in a few different locations. Please view all pictures carefully as we have done our best to get as many clear pictures as possible. Normal rust on the jacking points and panel edges exist. We see some in the inner jambs and some rust on a lower portion of the drivers side frame rail from lift contact. It looks to be in either its original paint or possibly on its first respray. This car is a real looker and makes a perfect driver. It is also a perfect restoration candidate as the mileage is really ideal and the car is straight. The top has two tears from being store in the boot that can easily be repaired on the car. The interior shows nicely and the seats look really clean, showing nice deep color. We note some blems in the wood trim that covers the dash face. The top of the dash looks great and shows very nicely. The streering wheel, guagesm and all switches show in excellent condition. Overall the interior looks great and is functional. We note a rust spot behind the drivers seat on the floor that would require some attention. The wheels were recently refinished and are in excellent condition. The engine fires up and idles smooth and quiet. The car drives great. It shifts properly, smooth and crisp between gears. The lights, signals, and controls are in working order. We have not had a chance to check the cruise control but we assume that it is working. We did not service the AC however the heat and defrosters are all in good working order. The car stops straight and smooth and it tracks well under acceleration. The battery is strong and the tires are ready to go. This car can be driven out of here and is ready to hit the open road!
