The 560SEL (W126) was the last of the big body Mercedes and the last two years of production were the best in terms of fit and finish of this model. This car is straight with no rust or accident damage. Interior is very clean and all power accessories work. This car has the optional rear foot rests, known as “diplomat pads” since many of these cars were used for heads of state, diplomats and other VIP’s. It also has the optional burled walnut wood treatment rather than the more common zebrano. Original radio. Included are the original owners manual and MBZ shop manuals. This car was owned by a family member until it was passed to me several years ago. This car is in a climate controlled garage and has had only three owners since new, including myself. This car has not sat in a parking lot, in the street or in the backyard under a tree. I have a full file folder of receipts for the work completed on the car. The A/C needs to be recharged. I have a Carfax report for this car, please email me and I will send you a copy. I am selling the car since I have moved out of state. What has been done: This is just a sample of the major repairs. ●Complete front end rebuilt with new upper and lower ball joints and bushings. Tie rods and drag link replaced. ●New radiator with water pump, thermostat, hoses and expansion tank. New fan clutch and MBZ antifreeze. ●Alternator, starter and power steering pump replaced with new belts. ●Steering box replaced. ●Heater monovalve, plus new relays. ●Replaced power antenna. ●Two new Bosch fuel pumps with new control relay. ●Cap, rotor and ignition wires replaced.
