Only 99 were manufactured in 1959. And only 43 have been added to the Cadillac Database Registry. This car (numbered 062) has not been added to the Registry and has not been offered for sale before today. In 1959, Cadillac sent rolling chassis to Turin, Italy where the bodywork was hand-crafted by Penin Farina Coachworks. The car’s body is virtually seamless. All gaps and shut lines were expedited with exacting standards. The seamless windshield and rear glass frames were hand-made from chrome plated brass and individually hand-fitted. Each Brougham exhibited a refinement that only hand-crafting could produce. This Brougham has been owned by a prominent family in Menominee, MI since it was new. In 1967, the title was transferred from the mother to their son (documentation provided). In the late 70s the car was put into storage, where it has sat for approximately 40 years. During this time the rear window was broken, so the rear window is missing. When we purchased the car in December of 2015, the car had a set of rear snow tires. So it can be concluded that it has been driven in the winter prior to storage. As a result it has rusty floors, rusty rocker panels, and rust in various other places like the lower fenders and bumpers. However, the bottom of the doors are very nice and not rusted. When we purchased the car the gas tank was removed, but we have the tank. The frame is rusty but should be salvageable. Because the air suspension system is not functioning, we affixed steel blocks under the suspension to support the car so it could be transported. Please see pictures. Under the hood is a Cadillac 389 CID V8, which seems to be complete and not altered. The Rochester triple deuce carburetors are there. Even the fresh air vent for the generator is intact. The only thing I see missing under the hood is the washer jar. Everything else appears to be there. The motor does not turn over. Everything on the exterior looks to be intact. The paint appears to be original but it is highly deteriorated in many areas. There is a dent in the rear quarter panel, but all moldings are present and in excellent condition. The bezel on the backup lamp is broken, but we have the broken piece. The trunk is complete with jack, tire blocks, and even the valet driver seat cover. One hubcap is dented, however a brand new NOS hubcap in the box is included as a replacement. The interior appears to be complete and in good, salvageable condition. Standard features on this Brougham include air conditioning, cruise control, Autronic Eye, six-way power seat, power windows & door locks, power trunk release, power steering and brakes, automatic transmission, and an air suspended self-leveling system. We have not evaluated whether any of these systems are functional. Please see below for more detailed pictures.  Clean title.
