1984 Ford Mustang SSP Florida Highway Patrol car. 72, 313 original miles. Car is in the middle of being restored but my situation has changed in the last few days. Car comes with the Marti report and a new door sticker is being made by Marti. Car also has original build sheet and both buck tags. Body - Car was painted in May of 2008, while it shows well and has a nice shine, being black it does show any dings that the body shop missed and they missed some. I would say it has to be sanded down, dents addressed and resprayed. There are also a few dirt spots in the paint. There is no body rust or previous accident damage that I can see. The weather-stripping was all replaced in 2008 and it still free from tears. The body side moldings are on the car but they appear to be some NOS and some aftermarket and alignment is an issue. Some are even gold and some are silver in the center. Even the remanrts of the State Trooper fender and Florida door stickers are visible in the paint. Maybe they did this so it would be easier to put the new ones on in the same place. Interior - The interior is desert tan and completely stock with the exception of the carpet. The carpet was replaced in 2008 and seems to need to be pulled and readjusted. There are no tears or stains on it but it doesn't fit well. The kick panels are cracked and will need replaced. The rear view mirror is detached and also glass is broken but with the car. The seats are stained and the drivers has a tear. overall the are worn but TMI does make a interior kit in this color. The suns visors are not mounted but with the car, they will need cleaned and possible dyed. The door panels will need new clips but are not torn. The arm rest will need dyed. The rear interior panels are sun faded and will need dyed. All seat belts are present and function. The headliner is intact and not sagging without any damage. The dash pad is cracked. The volt gauge is burnt, prob wrong bulb. The am radio is missing and has been hacked by the trooper. And as always screw holes all over the dash and shifter base from hardware. Door sills are crack free. The windshield was replaced in 2008 and the door glass along with the back window are chip and crack free. Drivetrain - The engine does not smoke or knock and has about 80 psi oil pressure at idle. The valve covers are aftermarket (Black Mustang Aluminum ones). The intake is not correct also its a Edelbrock. The AC is all present minus the hoses from the firewall to the compressor. The coil is incorrect. The carb is a Holley 6919-1510 600 CFM. The air cleaner flex snorkels are missing. The 5 speed trans shift with no problem, does not jump out of any gear and was service in 2008. The rear end was also serviced in 2008 to include new bearings and seals. The heater core is not hooked up, condition unknown. There are aftermarket headers on the car, as the story goes this was part of an upgrade done to some so called Super Trooper cars, as I see it a story. I have no documents to prove this. The tail pipes are not correct as they are not chromed tipped just some bent tubing and cut off at an angle to resemble oem ones. No noises or vibrations while driving. Tires still have the little nipples on them but tire receipt shows they were installed in 2008 but have almost no wear as the car sat from the last owner to me. The tires are mounted on the correct steel rims and come with the original pinto style caps. The spare is a full size 14 on a steel rim. Electrical - All the lights work, hi-low beams, turns, hazards. Wipers work, tail lights, brakes all work. Horn works. Dome light doesn't work, switch is missing from drivers door. Volt gauge is burnt as mentioned. Dash lights work as do all the other gauges. Battery is wrong size and hold down is missing. HO alternator is present. Underneath - Floor plans are solid, dent in gas tank, no rust issues on torque boxes or shock towers. Florida Highway Patrol hardware. As Per Ebay policy all equipment is not hooked up or mounted.3 New vinyl decals. 2 for doors, one for trunk. Correct Versions2 New vinyl reflective State Trooper decals for fenders. Correct Versions2 Original antenna's, one short, one long. Period Correct2 Aftermarket magnetic antenna's, one short , one tall2 Working Whelen Blue Dash Masters. Period Correct1 Working Jetsonic Light Bar, does not have the correct blue filters. Period Correct1 Motorola Micor unit with lower and upper set up with bracket, speaker and mic. Period Correct.2 New MIC mounts.1 SW200 with manual. Period Correct 1 Federal Signal PA 300 with MIC. Period Correct1 New Federal Signal mounting bracket to replace am radio.1 Spotlight, drivers. Period Correct. Hole was filled in on pillar when painted but hole is visible from inside car. I have tried to be honest but I am human and do miss things, so please ask questions. I do not write 2 sentences and expect the buyer to figure it out, wouldn't want that done to me. So please ask questions. These are hard to find especially the 84 versions and I have done most of the leg work already to find the period correct items. All parts that are incorrect or worn out can be easily found at any Mustang restoration website. I can store the car for additional time once the car is paid in full, will work with the buyer as needed and within reason of course. I can also send additional photos as requested.
