Vehicle Detail

More Pics (82): X5 Photo Album Video (should play in HD): Video Walkaround So, if you are looking at this vehicle seriously you already know what it is. I won’t list all the features because it has just about everything. For those that need more info, you can Google for all the features and specs. The 4.8is is the rarer, more sought-after version of the E53 due to its upgrades to engine, suspension, brakes, features, and appearance packages. The drivetrain is a powerful beast (355HP/360T) yet very smooth, the braking and handling superb, the seats comfortable and sporty. Note that the X5 grew in 2007; the ’06 model was the last of the “short” ones. I like the look and the handling of the ’06 the best. This vehicle runs, shifts, steers, brakes and rides great, AC blows cold. Bluetooth works. Giant panoramic sunroof. Non-smoker, non-pet vehicle. The car has been great to own and a pleasure to drive. We hate to see it go; it has been a great ride and I will miss it. I have been gentle on this vehicle but certainly enjoyed its capabilities. You will too. I take good care of my vehicles and I believe you will get years of good use from this SAV with a little TLC and homework. Mileage will not change much after posting, but the wife still needs to drive it a few miles a week. I believe am the second private owner; purchased in 2010 with 22,625 miles. VA State Safety Inspection good through July 1, 2016 Clear title in hand. 2006 BMW X5 4.8is ~74,100 miles 4.8L N62 6-speed automatic, AWD LeMans Blue paint Black leather interior PB/PS/PW/PL/PM ; all work Heated front and rear seats Heated Steering wheel 16-way adjustable power front seats with memory Power reclining and heated rear seats 4-wheel disc brakes Dual-piston front brakes Antilock brakes Cruise control Hill Descent Control Dynamic Stability Control 6-disk CD changer AUX audio input jack added for Ipods or phone music Four 12V outlets Power Tilt/telescoping wheel Digital compass in rearview mirror Headlights are clear 20” Style 214 rims – one has a little rash where a service tech laid it down outside-face first onto asphalt. Roundels are fair. Latest maintenance: ~56,000 miles - All four air struts replaced with Arnott struts with lifetime warranties. No leaks, no sagging. Great ride.58626 miles - Transmission replaced with brand new (not rebuilt) BMW OEM transmission by Fairfax BMW. 65213 miles – all 4 new tires, tons of tread left 70530 miles - New front pads and rotors ~72140 miles - New water pump, thermostat, expansion tank/sensor, CCV valves, serpentine belt and AC belt. Old belts were in good shape; I will include them as spares. Notes: Passenger front fender clear coat is peeling. Previous owner apparently had a crease or small dent (I believe car may have been keyed) and they didn't quite nail the paint job. The fender has been resprayed and looks decent, and there is no evidence of crash or impact to any other parts of the car whatsoever. No bondo. (Carfax logs an “accident repair” (whatever that may mean in Florida), reported 3.5 years after it happened and 9 months after I bought the car. What does that tell you about Carfax??) Regardless, my unprofessional eyes and inspection indicates no effects or repairs except for this panel, and I have been all through this car since the day I bought it. There is no metal damage but the clear coat problem should be addressed. Pixelation on NAV screen. Very typical on this year/system. Does not affect function or readability at all. You can swap out with an aftermarket kit sold on Ebay and other places if you like, very easy and affordable if you want to do it. Self-Leveling Suspension (SLS) Inactive message – the air suspension system works as it should when the SLSI message is not tripped. No leaks whatsoever. No sags. Compressor works and maintains level in the new air struts on a daily and ongoing basis such as temperature changes. No issues whatsoever for normal operation. However, when the SLSI message appears the manual raise/lower function is prevented. The Raise/Lower works perfectly when the message is not present. Repeat – the suspension performs as new in the Normal setting. If you are familiar with this model, you know that this message can be tripped by many, many things, many trivial or stupid. In this case it seems to be an occasional low voltage that I cannot track down. Since it does not affect the performance of the system in the Normal position in any way, I simply reset the message and don’t worry about it. Often I don’t even bother since the message always comes back. In the 5.5 years I have owned the car I have never used the raise/lower function other than to play with it when I first got the car. It’s just not needed. The message will come back; sometimes in one day, sometimes in a month. I just want to mention it. The air suspension itself works perfectly in Normal, despite the intermittent message. If you can clear the message, the Raise/Lower will also work.PDC (parking) sensors – intermittent since I bought the car, but only one of the 8 has failed. BMW wired these in series, so the whole system comes and goes. I never had a car with sensors before so I never used them any way but you could restore 100% function fairly easily. Although I do my best to keep her spotless and in the garage, there are typical scratches and nicks on paint for a 10 year old vehicle; some may not be obvious in pics. It is not perfect but I think very good for its age and usage. On the driver-side, outer front lower valence panel there is a rub spot down to the black plastic. There are a few small nicks on the right side of the tailgate, below the license plate. Chipped rear seat warmer switch (the switch is in the back seat, near the floor) – just an appearance issue - switch and seat heater still work perfectly. Missing tab on left rear sunshade. Shade operates fine, you just have to grab it differently. Pluses: Newer parts as mentioned above. You won't have to worry about any of those components for a long, long time. I can include the BMW software suite (EDIABAS, DIS, TIS, INPA, SSS) that will let you monitor, maintain, and diagnose the various systems… ODB-II to USB cable included. Very useful software for the serious owner. I believe you can install the software on as many machines as you like but you do have to contact the distributor for a key, and may have to buy a license. I have their contact info. Or you can buy off Ebay and other sources from around $25 - $55. Removable rear cargo area mat. 4-piece OEM floormats. 3 new wiper blades in unopened packages. Front sunshade included. Full set of manuals but only 1 keyset/fob.Admin: I believe the target price is very fair based on the 4.8is model, age, mileage, pluses, and minuses. Sorry, I will not disclose the Reserve Price; that defeats the whole purpose of an auction. Do not ask what the Reserve is. If you do it tells me you didn’t read this far or you did and don’t comprehend. Vehicle is listed for sale in other venues; therefore I reserve the right to end the auction early. Serious bidders only and I reserve the right to cancel a bid at any time. Check out my feedback and buy with complete confidence!! I have tried to describe everything accurately and honestly, just as I would want someone else to do, especially with a vehicle. Please review the pictures and the video. (It always amazes me when I see Ebayers selling cars based on a few pictures and 5 or 6 sentences) Please understand what you are buying before placing a bid, and please email me if you have any questions. I will try to answer ASAP. However, I do not have access to email during business hours, only evenings. All sales are final. Sold as is, where is. No warranty, no returns or refunds. No trades. Buyer is totally responsible for pickup or shipping. Local pickup only, in Manassas, VA., most likely on the weekend; depends on my schedule. Seller accepts PayPal from US bidders ONLY. You must current live in the CONUS, and not be on vacation or deployed overseas. Seller must complete the transaction within 72 hours of auction end, so please have all of your financial arrangements ready beforehand. I cannot hold the vehicle for you while you arrange the funds. Vehicle will not be released until it is fully paid for.On Jan-03-16 at 03:59:02 PST, seller added the following information: The clear coat problem is only on the top edge of the fender, near the hood line.
