Vehicle Detail

A fast, rare Fox Body Mustang. I took a job out of state and am forced to sell her. The Mustang SVO was made from ‘84 to ‘86, one of the few mustangs ever built to turn a corner. Adjustable Koni shocks, quicker steering rack, 5-lug hubs, all 4 vented disc brakes, a limited-slip rear diff, and pedals designed for heel-and-toe made this more a sports car than a muscle car. The real difference, though, was the 2.3L Turbo 4cyl: lighter and further back than the V8, it really helps the car’s handling. ‘86 was the last year of the turbo ‘Stang, and they sorted out lots of kinks. It had better fuel pump, injectors, cam, ECU settings, an intercooler, and other improvements. Fox bodies are gaining in popularity and this is the one to have. How fast is it? On 14psi of boost (the most of any production car in ‘86) it makes 205hp/245tq... they say. My car is stock other than a 4.10 rear gear set, and I keep up with modern V8 muscle cars. It’s very quick. Only ~9,000 were built in those 3 years. The wheels (I have all 5 in decent condition) and outer turn signal lenses (both in a padded box, not yet installed) are VERY sought after. You can get up to $300 for the passenger-side turn signal lens alone! The seats are bolstered, SVO-specific, and mine work great, including lumbar adjustment. What condition? -It needs a new battery and may have other electrical gremlins. It wasn't starting when I left and I never figured out why. -There’s play in the steering, and the tie rods feel solid, so I bought a replacement power-steering pump. I didn't install it. -The exhaust leaks at the cat. It could use a new one. -Speedometer/odometer stopped working about a month ago. Add 44 miles to whatever it says. I’ve done more wrenching than driving. -Rear hatch release (electrical) works but isn’t connected. Still opens from the outside. -It needs new tires, 225/50-r16s. -The previous owner stripped the interior. Heater/AC works great (tested and included), but it was taken out. It’s missing a head liner and a few other trim pieces. There’s no hatch lock. BUT: +Body is straight. The hatch aperture and bottoms of the doors have minimal surface rust. +Passenger’s power window is the only electrical item that doesn’t work. All seals are in great shape and keep water out. +Brakes, suspension, engine, tranny, and axle are all VERY strong. It stops straight, pulls hard, and rides well. The limited-slip rear gets it through snow impressively. +I have the Car Fax and a clean title. +I’ve bought a new, expensive LED headlights, various trim and moldings, and much more in the last few weeks alone. Full vehicle price is required before pickup. I will accept payment in person or through Paypal.
