Up for sale is this 1986 Mustang GT Convertible 5 speed with ORIGINAL miles on the 5.0L High Output engine!!! This Fox body Mustang GT has most of all the options that could be had back in 1986 like power windows, power locks, a/c, heater, cruise control, power steering, c/d player, ect. Engine starts right up runs like a top with no hesitation or issues what so ever. Drives straight and has no problem on the highway. No overheating, no smoke, no leaks! It does have some wear and tear that would be expected, but nothing compared to most 29 year old cars on the road. The interior is in overall good shape, though the seats will require a good clean, the dash pad has some cracks that are typical to these cars, the door panels will also need a good clean and/or repaint, but the carpet is new. All gauges except for the fuel gauge work and only passenger rear window has some problem rolling up (it does roll down with ease). Other issues are a small leak of power steering and first gear synchronizer will need replacement as it often pops out of first gear (it's a cheap part and it can be easily driven from second gear for the meantime. The paint is also original and is in overall good shape, with the only issue being the hood GT sticker was replaced once and though it looks good overall, it isn't perfect and has some minor flaws. Fairly new tires with only about 5,000 miles on them and the convertible top was replaced a year ago. There is ZERO rust on either the body or frame, but for some reason the exhaust does have some minor corrosion here and there. Fog lights will need replacement as well since one was removed and the other broken. The convertible top goes down with the electric switch and back up again with no problems. With a little TLC this Mustang can be restored back to it's original glory. These Fox body Mustangs are getting harder to find in stock form and here is a great example of one with ORIGINAL miles.
