Factory equipped 455 V-8 and a Muncie M-21 4- Speed Manual Transmission with a Corporate GM Rear Differential (see details below with regards to Transmission). This Car is very well preserved and exceptionally solid throughout. All original Trim and Glass in exceptional condition in terms of original, and please observe the impossible to find Wheel Well Trim pieces in excellent condition. Straight Body Panels when looking down both sides of the car, and an older Clear-Coat Paint work with a few flaws due to use age. Very suitable in terms of driver quality. Good Body Panel Fit as well, and solid original Quarter Panels. The vintage slotted wheels and fresh Tires give the car a nostalgic and aggressive Street Machine look to it. Well preserved factory original components inside the car such as the Dash pad, Gauge Cluster , Center Console and Door Panels are in Great shape. It would not take much to bring the Interior back. Inspection of the Undercarriage looks untouched since 1968, and there are no rust issues whatsoever. Solid Rocker Panels Floor Pans, up underneath the Doors, etc.. God Bless Texas for this, and the Trunk Pan is solid as well. Mechanically, the car is sound, and the 455 C.I.D (every bit of 400 Horsepower) V-8 is a Performance-Built Pump Gas Motor that is very stout indeed. At Some point in the car's life it was changed over to a Turbo 400 Automatic, however The Muncie M-21 ($$) Transmission, Bell Housing, 4-Speed Drive Shaft, everything that came out of the car is included in the sale. Pedal Assembly for Manual is still in the car. All electricals function as they should with the the exception of the Clock and the AM/FM Radio. The car recently passed Texas Safety Inspection standards. All other mechanicals have been gone through as well, Brakes, Suspension Cooling System, Exhaust, etc. Brutally fast, very manageable on the road and reliable. Needs nothing to drive and enjoy right now. Great foundation with enormous potential if you would like to address some cosmetics and bring the car back to Manual shift. Original Owners Manual and Protecto-Plate will go with the car. True Factory American Muscle Car, investment potential and an achievable price point for most.
