This is a really clean 85 Vanagon for the Midwest. It originally came from Pennsylvania which is why it is so clean. This has the rare three speed automatic which I have always loved above and beyond the manual models. The interior is about the nicest I have seen in a long time, although the sliding door inner panel blue cover has some tears here and there. all the seats are in great shape and this one has been converted to seat 8 persons with an additional seat installed as you can see. The clear coat was coming off which is why I decided on the cheapo truck bed liner black look, but, with black on black, I get a lot of compliments. The speedo is not working being that I put the golf wheels on there and the hub that connects to the speedo won't fit anymore, I have the factory wheels and tires, they will go with it as well. The heater works great front and back and will burn you out, I just had to replace the blower motor I also recently replaced the master cylinder and a rear wheel cylinder right side but I am thinking the front left caliper will need replaced down the road, The brakes work but you still have to pump them a couple of times to build pressure. I have put new fuel pump, filter, plugs, wire, cap and rotor on recently and air filter. It shifts smooth and drives down the road very smooth. The only thing I would replace down the road is the instrument cluster, right side gauges have a tendency from going out from time to time, but when you wiggle the wires, the gauges work again. Basically I had no choice as eBay removed my listing when I put it under the clean designation. I do not know why considering I have a clean iowa title that says nothing of the sort but is a regular title. I also wanted to mention that the cheap radio that was in it stopped working and so I removed it when I installed the new antenna it has four speakers but will need a radio other than that I can't think of anything else feel free to call with questions I may not be able to pick up right away do to my job but will get right back to you as soon as I can I have been getting calls about driving it home. I drive this thing daily and don't know why you couldn't drive it anywhere considering I usually put 80 miles round trip going to the city. That being the case I make no promises as I have owned numerous Vw vans old and newer style and every time you try to take a long distance trip it seems like 'a long strange trip' with all kinds of unusual things happening as I don't think these were the best built machines but they are sure fun! I'm just throwing this out there but I am truly hoping for around 3-3500 as it is by all means worth it, it's a daily driver and apart from the black paint job is super clean inside and out!
