I used it as a second vehicle because of the “all wheel” drive capability. I live in the Berkshire Hills of Western Massachusetts. I always had it regularly serviced and never had any type of mechanical issue with. I loved this vehicle. Very sturdy, great visibility, very versatile, seats that fold right up to the sides, solid as a rock. The Bad. It has a blown head gasket. I let my son take the vehicle to use while he was working in NYC for 6 months. I can’t be certain of why this occurred but I have a strong suspicion of what transpired. While my son was was driving, the vehicle overheated and the oil light went on. It was late at night and finding a parking space was an impossible task. He instead decided to drive it the extra few miles to his apartment, in doing so he fried the head gasket. My son had taken the vehicle in for its regularly scheduled oil change a few weeks prior. While I can’t prove it, I believe the auto shop either did not fill the engine with enough oil or more than likely they did not tighten the oil filter appropriately. In any case, I put a new radiator in it but when it was started they found the gasket needed replacing. I had it towed back to me and was going to have a vocational school swap out the engine. Engines are readily available form anywhere from $600 to $1,500 depending on the mileage. Well, the school changed their policy and no longer does engine replacement. So I have decided to sell it. It has been sitting for a while and will have to be towed. However, if someone is willing to invest a bit of time and or money they can end up with a nice little vehicle for a reasonable price. This Honda is being sold “ AS IS WHERE IS “ with no returns. All towing and expenses will be the responsibility of the buyer. There are no guarantees at all. This is also a NO RESERVE AUCTION.
