Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is a 1985 Cadillac Deville Limousine. PLEASE NOTE: This car has been sitting for at least two years and will require extensive cleaning and detailing, as well as minor mechanical repairs--e.g., repair exaust leak, possible replacement of belts and hoses (due to dry rot), possible new battery (if we can't jump it off), and possible new tires (at least before extensive driving). This car is most certainly a "fixer upper" canidate, so DO NOT expect anything more. The cosmetic flaws on this car are numerous. The paint is faded and chipped in numerous places. At least one, possibly both, of the rear Cadillac emblems is/are missing. The trim lining has started to come off. The exterior roof lining has numerous cracks. The driver's door armrest is loose, but could most likely be screwed or epoxied back together. The middle window on the driver's side is shattered and needs to be replaced. The glove box latch is broken. The rear bumper has several cracks in the fiberglass. The rubber lining around the doors is coming off and is also home to a swarm of ants. Spiders have inhabited the rear seats, evident due to extensive cobwebs. I think I even saw a plant growing out of one of the rear seats. This is unconfirmed, however, as I didn't crawl in to investigate further for fear of my safety. As previously mentioned, this vehicle has an exaust leak, probably due to a hole in the muffler or a manifold problem, the extent of which I'm uncertain. If the previous paragraph wasn't evidence enough, I'll say it again: This is a fixer upper car. On the plus side, though, the engine has only 64,246 original miles on it, and as of two years ago, was in drivable condition. It has a 4.1L V8 engine, automatic transmission, AC, cruise control, and comfortable seating for six people, although it could potentially hold up to eight people. This is at least a two owner car. The previous owner used it as a funeral car in Orlando FL. I haven't seen a Carfax or Auto Check on it, but there is supposed to be an Auto Check avaliable for this listing. Please consult this for more information regarding previous ownership, wrecks, etc. The vehicle is located in Pilot Mountain, NC, which is apprx. 30 min north/northwest of downtown Winston Salem. The winning bidder will be solely responsible for shipping/moving the vehicle, as we will not make shipping arrangements for you. An immediate deposit of $250 is required. This is an AS IS sale with no returns, refunds, or warranties offered. If possible, we encourage interested parties to come view the car in person prior to bidding. However, if this isn't possible, remember that this is an AS IS/NO REFUNDS sale. I've done my best to truthfully and accurately describe the car; however, there may be other problems with the car which are not apparent, visible or known. I am not responsible for inaccurate or incomplete descriptions of the vehicle. The buyer has every opportunity to inspect the vehicle PRIOR to bidding. If you cannot inspect the vehicle prior to bidding then you are bidding at your own risk. Finally, the vehicle will need an inspection and tags to be legal to drive. This will be the responsibility of the winning bidder. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
