Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is a very well cared for 1999 SAAB 9-3 SE Turbo convertible 5-speed. The paint is what I'd consider good, not excellent - being a FL vehicle, the paint on cars takes a beating in the hot, HOT sun, so the clear coat is flaking in a few spots on the hood and trunk lid. The white 'runs' on the rear bumper is just run off from some bug and tar remover I used that I hadn't completely wiped off...and it rained the day I photographed the car....so whatever excess I missed wiping off dissolved and ran. New Stuff: The car has a new convertible top (glass rear window), AC compressor, radiator, engine and transmission mounts, tires, struts, all front control arms and tie rod ends, recent alignment, new Bosch BOV, O2 sensor and new 5-year battery (with receipt for the warranty) and radio power antenna; receipts for over $4K over the past 18 months to get this car back in tip-top shape! I originally purchased it for $2900. Receipts for all repairs will go with the car as much of the work I've had done is covered by warranty for one year. Details: The convertible top works flawlessly. The AC blows ice cold, and the heat works as well...not that we need heat very often here in FL; power mirrors and fully powered leather seats. All the displays (the SID and AC controls) work perfectly without any dead pixels. The interior is in good condition with only slight surface wear and creases in the grey leather seats - no tears or holes whatsoever. Has power windows and door locks and key fob remotes for the security system; remote also opens the trunk. 6-CD changer in the trunk works fine and doesn't skip. The SID shows "CHECK OK" which means all systems are go. The fog lights don't work. A SAAB mechanic told me it's probably a bad relay, but I have never needed to use them so I didn't chase it down. It has 131K miles, runs great; burns no oil; the turbo spools up quickly and really kicks in. Since I've owned it, all I've used is Castrol full-synthetic oil and 93 Octane gas. It was a "snowbird's" vehicle - one they'd tow behind an RV when they visited Florida. They traded it in here where I picked it up at a used car dealer. I just happen to like SAABs. :-) As for the "minor accidents" CarFax reports: when I purchased it, it had a slightly dented rear left fender and an impression in the rear bumper cover...probably a pole...the previous owners didn't get the repairs done, but I did - both were professionally repaired...I'm a bit of a perfectionist and wanted the vehicle as good as it could be. I'm selling it because I've purchased new vehicles for me and my wife, so we don't need this car any more and it's just taking up precious driveway space.
